    About time! Great news
  • Why would one want to break up a management and coaching team that has brought the recent success? Success is not due to just one person (although Jacko is the catalyst).

There is room for them all IMO.

The 39-year-old has signed a contract which will automatically renew at the end of each of the next two seasons based on success on the pitch for the Addicks.
  • Get in!
    I’m really emotional.

    Merry fecking Christmas 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁♥️
  • The right choice Thomas. Well done.

    Buy but but but

Excellent news and inside the time frame laid out.  Was it really ever in doubt?

Seems like a pretty clever contract for both parties that
  • The only choice for the job. Should have had the job in March, but we got there eventually.

You were born for this job Jacko. Dont think I will ever be able to turn my back on the skipper. Hope he is the man to take us back to glory in next 5,10 years.

Congratulations to Jacko, proved he deserves to be given the job, I wasn’t sure. But happy he’s got it as it’s results that have earned it, not just being a popular fella. Please just continue with the great work!!. So what are people going to whinge about next!!!🤣.
  • Great news, well done for getting this over the line, no idea why it’s taken this long, better late than never, absolutely the right fella for the gig.

    Get in the Jacko!

I must have been going on about him a lot. My 2 year old daughter is starting to pick up on all things Charlton now. Constantly wants to wear her Charlton top. Takes great pleasure in pointing out the Charlton badge wherever she can find it. So I’m sitting at my work desk, watching the announcement video and she appears out of nowhere and says Johnnie Jackson! She recognises the new gaffer!

    I am so proud.

i dunno, seems a bit weird. If he has to finish a certain place by end of season and he's the place below on goal difference i dont particularly want sandgaard to then throw jacko out.

The contract is a touch confusing? Is it in effect a rolling 2 year deal but with break clauses?

It will only automatically renew if he meets the targets.

If he finishes a place below that courtesy of Goal Difference, then I'm sure Sandgaard will be sensible enough to sort a deal for that next season.
