Spent some weeks just off the beach in Alicante in the Summer of 1984 (on a French exchange, of all things, the family I stayed with being part of decently sized French community in the city), not too far from a holiday nightclub which played Small Town Boy at least 5 times each night before I'd fall asleep...

An absolutely wonderful pop song.

never really though about it before but that video for small town boy has a lot of footage of trains in it. even more reason to like it.

Don't think I've ever watched the video before. Very poignant. Loved Bronski Beat and had some vinyl LPs then Communards. RIP
