    With this one it was more about finding words that were valid and would fit for line 3 rather than trying to choose between multiple options. Until I had the "oh of course it's that" moment, I was beginning to wonder whether the word list had gone for a wander into Urban Dictionary territory. (And if you've worked out what word I was thinking of, I apologise for the reminder).

    Wordle theory.

    I start with a word with at least 2 vowels and hopefully an S or an R or a D. Raise or dairy are good.

    Second word depending on how much was good in the first the remaining vowels and an L. Locum is good.

    Then ponder and with luck get it in 3. But more often 4 or 5.

    Occasionally with good fortune you get three or more letters first go and then it’s hard thinking time.

    And never forget a letter can be in more than once! Lorry, steep, doors etc.

    I stopped using "adieu" as I wanted to make it harder for myself. Still ended up adopting a system of sorts so really not that much different!

    I really didn't find Adieu that good.  Much better a word with common letters like Tears, tiers, rents....

    Ive cribbed from Little Miss Idle who likes reams and pilot as the first two. Adieu works very well, but i dont want to be too formulaic otherwise the interest wanes

    I start with LATER. Then next word would probably have an O or an I plus S and N. I've seen it said that it's best to get the vowels first but I don't agree. It's been working well, not so good today though.
