Very sad news. Met Nick twice, once at Wycombe away briefly to give him a ticket and at one of the protests. Both times struck by his warmth. My heartfelt condolences to his son and the rest of his grieving family and friends. Farewell mate
Got to know Nick when I helped out at the Sevenoaks supporters branch, a real character, I will never forget an away day at palace with him. So sad to see this news, RIP Nick.
Cant believe this news...we were only having a few private conversations in the last few months, that will keep private. He seemed a top bloke, whom I may have met but will never know.
Is it appropriate to ask if anyone has a picture as I am sure I would recognise him....
Such a horrible decease, my partner (call her my mrs as we have been together 16 years) goes into hospital in two weeks to have her womb out due this after already surviving breast cancer, so i know the devestation this will cause his loved ones.
Very sad. Condolences to his family. He used to sit a few rows in front of us towards the back of the East stand. ‘Larger than life’ I think would describe him.
I’ve just realised that I met Nick once, he kindly sorted me out a free ticket a couple of seasons ago via Charlton life. Obviously ver kind hearted and my heart goes out to his family. Rest in peace my friend
I never met him in person but sparred with Nick (@Addickted) periodically both on here and 'Netaddicks' for close on 20 years. He came across as a genuine bloke I feel I would have got on with in person regardless of whether we agreed or disagreed.
I am very pleased that he was spared to meet his grandson and vividly recall the delight he expressed on here.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will be a big loss to many people.
