Pretty sure that Southend will need to ask us to extend the loan like any otherCallumcafc said:I was under the impression that past 28 days, he can be recalled at any time.
IF a player in his position happened to get an injury that sidelined them for a couple of games, I would also be in favour of bringing him back.
How many clubs is a player allowed to play for now, is it still just two? - If so does that include Non-League teams? - If we recall him, he wont have anywhere else he can go to0 -
Just to clear up any confusion, the OS says he joined on a 28 day loan on 6/10 so in theory his last day at Southend is Friday. I would imagine Southend would be happy to extend. https://www.charltonafc.com/news/daniel-kanu-joins-southend-united-loan0

I don't think National League teams count but I could be wrongForeverAddickted said:

National league clubs do count but the limit is 3 teams not 2.fenaddick said:

Just in time for Daniel Kanu to play against Cray Valley 👏1 -
Called up for Sierra Leone for the first time19 -
Another of our kids called up straight into a country's first team. I hadn't realised he was of Sierra Leone descent.1
-
Surprised Asiimwe hasn't been called up by Uganda0
-
Pleased for him but I hate our players going to these smaller nations after Taylor came back from Montserrat injured and that contributed to our championship relegation.0

Congratulations to Daniel - a real honour for him and his family and a great experience for the lad2

Happy for him. Breakthrough season0
-
Chuffed for him, and all good experience. Along with the current loan, I am sure it will help him develop his game further.

Must be really exciting for him! Hope he gets game time.0

Has his Southend loan been extended?0
-
It's an honour for Kanu to get the call up but on the down side there's now a chance he Foxtrot Oscar's every 2 years during the club's busiest fixture period (though luckily they didn't qualify for this year's ACN tournament) .0

Agreed. Anderson earlier this season signed his extension and then it was announced.
Kanu still not proven - 4 goals for Southend in a match was amazing but he hasn't scored in his other 4 by the looks of things. Would hope he will sign as those stats are unlikely to have pl clubs sniffing.0 -
Unused sub for Sierra Leone yesterday
They drew 0-0 in Ethiopia to start their World Cup Qualifying Campaign
Home to Egypt on Sunday - Game will be free to watch @ 4pm on FIFA+0 -
Wonder how much of the game he got to see from the subs bench

Hahaha... Your kidding?0
-
Nope! Nearly got postponed but the fog cleared just about enough for play
