Comments
Being invited to Bromley obviously inspired Corey as was Sky MOTM last night.
We're sorry and will totally re-organised our structures.
Clearly there has been a failing of leadership here but you'll have to wait for Aliwibble's report, I can't comment until then
Akin scored the winner but Corey, after a great game, at Portsmouth, went of injured.
Hope it was just a tweak and he's back soon
WIOTOS
Nice of Thomas to do a warm up Q & A at the beginning.
Two articulate and thoughtful young men.
Key info is that CBT isn't 5' 7".
Interesting comments on the analysis from Skiverton.
(Which Akin actually said)
Not something CBT had done before so had to work on it in training and with analysis but improving and likes the oppurtunity to learn a new position.
Back three/five
AF happy in both and has played in a three before. Doesn't have a preference
Social Media (especially when toxic after a defeat)
CBT - It's part of being a professional footballer. you can understand the frustration but you can't let it effect you. We have to answer to it on the pitch and focus on our games.
AF his view is "Don't ride the highs to high or the lows too low"
(He didn't know that this was what Curbs also said)
A normal day?
AF On a Monday there will be a de-brief of game on Saturday then some activation, getting the blood flowing. Then a good training session which will be different for starters and subs and non-players, the latter get a heavier session. Then lunch.
Set pieces are done as a whole team although some times strikers work on their own on finishing and defenders on shape and keeping distance as they shift across.
Both CBT and AF spoke about the analysis they do, both watching themselves and other players in their posistions. They look at the team and individuals.
AF Skivo will speak to me and say "you did this but if could have done this instead".
Both said the analysis was very useful and helped them to improve. They said the player like Skiverton.
Diet
No rule as such but they know they have to make sacrifices as a pro and think about what you eat.
CBT said he notices that he does better when he eats certain foods and avoids other. He had a meeting with a nutritionist at the club this week.
AF said similar but that that he does sometime treat himself to some chocolate.
Xmas Party
They were both there but not in the photo. They drew lots and had to big a character from the letter they got. CBT got W so went as Wolverine. AF went as a anime character I've never heard of but he's into.
Always appreciate a bit of insight like this.
