Could perhaps have done better for the goal, although it was a hard, low shot from well inside the area Clare: 8 - excellent athleticism, anticipation and overall reading of the game Inniss: 7.5 - dominant in both boxes and a superb tackle in the second half. We desperately need his intimidating presence and goal threat from set-plays Famewo: 6 - ok but still too many inaccurate punts forward Dobson: 7.5 - the first name on the team sheet. He has achieved a level of consistency that eludes his teammates Matthews: 7 - a solid and tidy display. His long throws are useful with Inniss in the side Gilbey: 5 - well below par, miscontrolling the ball on several occasions and failing with a couple of goalscoring opportunities. His late runs are a real threat but his confidence appears to be low Morgan: 7.5 - an impressive all-round display - he controlled the middle of the park with Dobson B-T: MoTM: 8.5 - he terrified the opposition with his pace and nearly scored a wonderful goal. His final ball and decision making are often found wanting but this was his strongest display for us Aneke: 7 - a quiet start but caused problems for Pompey in the second half. Ridiculous behaviour at the end, which could have earned him a red card. Just as well Paul Alcock (of Paulo Di Canio fame) has retired. Washington: 6 - plenty of running but he is a poor finisher Referee: 6 - generally ok but lost control at the end Opposition: 4 - a pretty turgid display. I think the Cowleys are on borrowed time
Aneke mostly because he probably should have had 2 yellows and been sent off for no reason other than his bad behaviour, needs to cut out these yellows.
