You’re a fighter Beds and seeing that photo of you and your lad’s a few weeks ago was great to see. As per everyone’s comments you’ll keep fighting and we’re all behind you every step of the way ❤️
good luck beds - sorry, i totally missed this when u first posted - wishing u all the best - have a friend who has had transplants, beaten diabetes and cancer and is currently as fit as a fiddle - u can do it
So sorry to read this, I started my chemo today, the thing to remember is that it affects everybody differently. I learnt from talking to others that staying positive (or trying to) is a great help. I have been through ups & downs, you will too, surround yourself with family & friends and lean on them whenever needed, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Happy to try and answer any questions via DM’s if you have any regards my own treatment (yours may well be different) it may help, it may not, but the offer is there as I’m further down that road.
good luck fella.
good luck da9 - sorry i missed your post as well - wishing u all the best
Great news, so pleased that you are in great hands.
With those skills as a surgeon, surely he could sort Jacko's knees out, and we'll have him back in the side, to give them all a kick up the arse and maybe score a free-kick or two, in what seems like years.
It's been a month since i found i have a tumour on my pancreas and since then there has been a lot going on. I am now under the countries top pancreatic specialist called Professor Giuseppe Fusai at the Royal Free hospital ( He was on BBC2 last week doing life saving pancreatic surgery.)
I will have to have whipple surgery but when and what type depends on more test results.
I don't want to say too much and temp fate , i have my fifth scan this week ( i'm fully radioactive now!) but the prognosis is much more optimistic than originally thought but i will give a update in a week or so.
Great to hear that you’re seeing a top consultant. It makes all the difference. If/when you have whipple, would be happy to chat about it with you, if you want. These top guys are unbelievable really, pleased you have someone like that in your corner.
We have a good supporting crowd who have every thing crossed. The trainee doctors and midfielders Morgan/Gilbey are replaced by 28 year old Andrea Pirlo (Professor Giuseppe Fusai from the Royal Free) with a tremendous team around him. Bedsaddick role in this team is too take one game/day at a time and let the positive messages lift him as there's no subs bench for beds; every game/day will be another challenge but my advice to you Beds is get the ball to Pirlo/Fusai and you can battle away knowing you have the best possible team on your case bar none.
DA 9, good luck with your cancer Journey.
We all need luck in life, but skilled medical professionals are a gift and I was so grateful to have the team at Royal Marsden Chelsea and Sutton who got me though from February to November 2019 with their expertise. Remission and/or green light are beautiful words to hear.
