I was on a train last Friday to Cambridge. A young man was chatting to his friend on the phone and used three replies for almost all of his conversation. The three replies were "truth", "no way" and "wicked". I translated these as follows... Truth=yes. Wicked=that's great or fine. No way=no unless it ends with a high inflexion in which case, it is a way of expressing surprise. Actually, there was one other term he used three times. He actually said "L-O-L", by which I mean he spelt out the letters. Maybe, he found it preferable to laughing. Or, don't young people laugh anymore?
Anyhow, as you approach this week's predictions, you can sort them into piles of truth, no way and wicked. Post your three "truths" so that we can all "L-O-L" at your choices. By the way, don't forget the high inflexion when you say "no way" after you have seen the results. Good luck, everyone, especially our semi-finalists who are competing for a chance to play at Wembley. The semi-draws appear on the next post.
If you missed last week's results, you can find them
