https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61177119American businessman Henry Mauriss has had a £115m bid to buy Sheffield United accepted by the Championship club.
Mauriss previously bid £350m to buy Newcastle United in 2020, before a Saudi Arabian-backed takeover went through the following year.
Sounds steep to me, considering they're likely to still be in the Championship next season

Plus their owner is some Saudi Prince anyway so I assume not a distressed sale?
£115m seems steep but you've got parachute payments and a ready to go Premier League standard stadium.

A good time for the current owner to sell, with a good chance of promotion back to the PL.
He probably needs to keep it quiet doesn't he! Sold for £115M at the very top of the Championship.
Our lot are in for £30M already and would need to buy The Valley and training ground for £50M to have all the assets. There is not a lot of profit left in that given the risks!
