I'm a bit behind as I've been on holiday. Cam Smith was my pick as he's had enough near misses and Southern Hills will apparently involve a lot of chipping.
I think Rory has got a bad round in him this week, it might depend if that bad round is a 71 or a 74. Seems a lot of big names have already been wiped, I guess by the harder conditions in the afternoon?
Should play a little bit easier this afternoon than it has this morning. Everything is lining up for Rory to take a decent advantage going into the weekend if he's up to the task...

Rory not started too well, managed to scramble a par on the 1st,dropped a shot on the 2nd
One of Rory's typical rounds. Drives go left & right thus leaving himself approaches to the green from the rough. Then either gets on the green miles from the hole, so leaving himself long putts for birdie (which he lags)....or approaches miss the green & he scrambles to get up & down. 1 over was probably the best he could do.
Great day 2 for Bubba Watson, bogey on two holes but still managed 7 under for the day. -5 after 36 Have a feeling for him this weekend. 150/1 at the start of the week.
Not the most inspiring last day major leader board I’m afraid. Pereira’s swing is not a thing of great beauty. Hope Fitzpatrick gets it over the line as a Brit although I find him quite hard to like for some reason. His association with the upcoming LIV event doesn’t help. Could be one of those where we get a freak one time major winner who does little else of note. This championship has a lot of previous in that regard - Micheel, Duffner, Bradley etc. All had good careers but never troubled the higher echelons of the leaderboard in majors before or since. That has happened with other majors too (Ben Curtis & Todd Hamilton take a bow) but the USPGA seems to specialise in them. The least iconic of the majors by a long way and almost surpassed by the Players Championship IMHO
Probably left himself too much to do as per usual.
Every chance the top 3 or 4 could collapse. None of them have been there before. Of course Rory has a collapse in him too as we know. If he can get to 7 or 8 under he has a serious chance. I fancy Power.
This is the dullest major I’ve seen in years. Pereira is just bundling along and no one is getting near him. Zakatoris did briefly then promptly made a mess of the next hole. Fitzpatrick is doing nothing. Rory consistently short. Cant figure out why he doesn’t take one club more. Zzzzz
Fitzpatrick in the water at 6 after Zalatoris also made a mess of it. Meanwhile Pereira hitting greens and fairways for fun. Going to have to try building some pressure on the back nine for him to lose from here you’d think.

Fitzpatrick & Zalatoris lead the chasing pack.
Rory, JT and Bubba all went backwards unfortunately.
Pereira -9
Zalatoris -6
Fitzpatrick -6
Cam Young -5
Ancer -4
Power -3
Cink -2
Bubba -2
JT -2
Hopefully JT can make a few birdies, don't exactly want him to win but I'll take some excitement.
