Graham, I well remember your career at Charlton. So unluckily cut short. I would say that you were the best young goalkeeper ever introduced into the first team in my time as a supporter, and that is saying a lot given Eliot, Randolph and Phillips. Those of us of a certain age remember and respect you. Very best wishes to you mate.
I got to meet you via zoom a couple of times over the last few years, Graham. Great guy. Wishing you a full recovery , mate . You are a fighter , so keep doing what you do best !!
So very sorry to hear this news , I was one of the people who contacted him via email and he was gracious enough to reply back and I gave him positive comments about his book. I know he was looking forward to visiting the UK this year at some point and I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery. Keep well Buster.
Shortly after the Sunderland injury I met Graham in Eltham Cottage Hospital, he was recovering in the same ward as my dad who had just had a nose operation. Graham was a total gentleman, happy to chat all things Charlton. Get well soon Graham.
Remember him coming off the pitch at his benefit game…..applauding the fans with tears streaming down his face. They weren’t the only tears being shed at that moment. Please, please, please fight your way out of this situation Graham. For those who remember you as a player, we are all left with the memory of a highly talented keeper, who many thought was destined for bigger things. Finally and perhaps more importantly, by all accounts you are also know as a thoroughly decent fella.
