Night Train to Munich - Al Stewart + Laurence Juber on guitar.
Saw this pair at the RAH a few years back - Juber can play a bit. Played lead for Paul McCartney at one time, his solo rendition of Hendrix's Little Wing had to be heard to be believed.
Two totally different versions of "Whiskey In The Jar" - one by the more traditional folk rendition by The Dubliners and the other the rock version by Thin Lizzy
Yes, I am wailing but not junior anymore and more bleeding Quo!
I probably stopped listening to Quo around 1976 when I went to Art College and Punk and New Wave were the sounds around. I relished the music and being at art college totally turned my life around.
The only Quo I was aware of in the following years to the present moment, is their performance at Live Aid, who could forget?
So, I turned to Spotify to have a playlist listen to SQ and the general criticism that's often aimed at them came to fore.
Apart from the recording quality, there's was relatively little to inform me of whether I was listening to late '60s Quo or Quo, in the 2000's. It felt very much of a muchness.
Granted they do have some classics and they do what they do well but without any advancement.

Perhaps the clue is in the name. They narrowed the band name shortlist down to 'Status Quo' or 'Yet More of the Same Old Shit'
Quo has been a fav since first seeing them in '67 supporting Episode Six at The Welcome Inn, so that will remain, seen them loads of times, an incredible band live, so each to their own eh🤷♂️
