Sounds like he’ll be a deeper playmaker. A Charlton Pirlo 😁 - if we’re playing three in midfield it could allow Dobson to be more of an all-rounder.

Didn’t someone hint at this with a Big Mac, the Grand Canyon and a bunch of Dell PCs like weeks ago? I’m approx 14,000 posts behind in the transfers thread so it was relatively recent that I saw that hint!

Always nice to pick up other teams’ captains! But apart from that the article doesn’t really give insight as to what to it expect…What sort of midfielder is he?
    Yes it was Swordfish.

Didn't expect a signing at 9pm, great to get another one done. Good age, a League 1 (not 2) player on a free and long term contract too.

Don't know much about him so looking forward to seeing how he fits into our midfield. We needed an upgrade in there, I couldn't see us trying to implement a possession style only using our current CMs.

Can't just be me who thinks 26 year olds look a lot younger than they used to.

Clearly we need a left back but I want to see a couple of goalscorers come in, a striker and another one, whether that's a wide player or CM.

Is he on a flight to Spain?

  • Going about our business quietly and professionally it would seem. Good stuff.

No idea what any of the players are like we're bringing in but great to see us bringing them in well before deadline day.

Have no recollection of him at all but seems a decent signing, experienced at this level, young and on a three year deal.

Strengthens our midfield options which is good.

Another deal that came in under radar. Worth remembering in five days time if we haven't signed another player by then and people are getting worried.

I make that 18 places in the 22 squad currently filled.

Four more over 21 signings possible or more if others are moved on.

Looks that way.  Get Dobbo to win possession and give it simple to McGrandles and let him dictate from deep

Nice. We've been missing an all-rounder since Hasselbainks arse rolled out the building

Deep lying playmaker, so maybe alongside Dobson in a 4231?

    -------------Wollacot
    -----Deji - Lavelle - Oconnel
    Egbo-----------------------------*NEW*
    -----------Dobbo - McG
    ----------------Fraser
    ---------Stockley - *NEW*/Kanu

    This looks strong to me
  • Absolutely no idea if he's any good or not but i like the fact he's another captain we've signed, and again yet another signing done pretty much under the radar.
  • Don’t know a lot about the lad. Decent pedigree at league 1.

6 midfielders now; JFC, Fraser, Dobson, Morgan, Gilbey & Mcgrandles. Could be 7 with Henry on the scene. Imagine one will definitely leave before start of the season. Strong options there if Fraser & JFC can chip in with goals.

He's spent most of his career with MK Dons and Lincoln. Most on here talking like we've signed in-his-prime Gerrard

One out (Morgan or Gilbey) and someone like Payne in would be good. Don't forget we also have Clare.

A name I know but not much more than that. Anyone got any insight into the type of player he is? Over to you @Braziliance 🙂

Looks like the general view when he didn't sign a new contract at Lincoln was they were very disappointed he was going and expected to end up back in Scotland.
It’s a very good signing and one I didn’t expect us to make, thought he would end up at Peterborough or the championship.

Good passer, loves a long ball, loves a tackle, not very attacking but definitely a player who likes to be involved. I imagine he will either partner Dobson or he will play infront of Dobson in the midfield with a more attacking mid sides with him.

Either way he’s a far better option than Gilbey or Morgan in the midfield.

Still not convinced Gilbey will be gone . Rather we let Albie go

Or guess could drop deji and go 4-4-2 diamond with JFC in there

    Probably.
Just as the rest of the players are flying back.
