Yep, I can't help thinking the owners have similar ambitions to Duchatelet without a network.
Bring academy players through asap (before they are ready), play too many academy players for CAFC to be successful and then sell them asap to reduce the annual deficit.

Get what you're saying, but if Prem/Champ and top European scouts don't know about him they're doing a terrible job.

I'm probably a lone voice but I don't think he's that good. Decent League 1 striker but anything higher.....nah. Wouldn't get into double figures in the Championship. Certainly not just yet. Who knows in a few years time but anyone buying him now is taking a big punt.

He’s got a fantasticly high ceiling and he’d be anything but a ‘big punt’. He’d be low risk.

He’s improving all the time again after a while to find his feet. I think playing up front with a friend is really helping him.

I’d love him to sign a new contract and keep improving but hopefully his time out has at least allowed us to see him continue to develop this season.
  • Yep you are correct ( probably on your own on this one).

He is the best striker we have at this club now.

When he is gone he will be missed.

Would think most of the Prem and Bundesliga probably have him as someone to keep an eye on, think staying fit for the rest of the season and hitting double figures would be the main factors.

I think he’d quite easily get 10 in the champ tbh. Not 20 but I don’t think he’d have any issue clocking up 10.
He doesn’t need many chances, I can barely recall him missing any sitters

he can improve a lot and will have a good career fitness permitting

The video is a clumsy attempt to create a portfolio that might add extra monetary value to Miles Leaburn, and might prove useful if we're negotiating with another club sometimes in the future.

It's just to get people to engage with our social media channels. Scouts will not be using Twitter/Instagram/Facebook to look for L1 players when they can watch whole matches on Wyscout or similar
    This.

Not everything is a conspiracy. The doom  mongering on here and other social media outllets is really tiresome. Can we not just enjoy his goals and assists  for five minutes?

Every club puts out social media clips of recent goals etc.

Will he be sold this January? I have no idea but that will be totally unrelated to these clips.
  • We wish him well

He has a big future in the game

We couldn’t stand in his way

A life changing contract was on offer

Take your pick as to which quote will be used by CM and chums 😉

I genuinely fear this window will be net negative.

    The Konsa-Pope effect.

Talented young player who isn’t at the level of Gomez or Shelvey at 16/17 is nothing special.

He’s got so many strengths alongside attributes that usually improve with experience that would shine more in a better team - at the right club along with luck with injuries he’d be an excellent signing for a Championship club. Not to immediately score 20+ but as someone who could really grow at a well run, ambitious club.

I want that club to be us but that’s looking unlikely at the moment. A young player having a good season in the Championship is easily worth double figures, and that’s just the defenders, as Konsa showed.

Imagine what he could do in a team who have more of the ball, show more quality on it and have 2/3 properly creative players.

Leaburn is going nowhere in January, his recent injury history surely will put off clubs.

His two goals so far today will get clubs interested.

The summer if he has a good second half of season.

Very fun of him and Lloyd to start looking like Ballon d'Or contenders right before the window opens

Was brilliant today. Worked his nuts off, showed his power, pace, and aggression, and his finesse. Two good goals, for different reasons.

The difference between what he offered and what Ahadme did from the bench was stark.

We absolutely cannot afford to sell him in January.

Bit harsh on Ahadme. I thought he worked really hard when he came on and made a couple of important defensive headers. Absolutely agree that Leaburn on this form is different gravy.

Those writing him off as he was building his fitness and sharpness back up look a bit silly now. Can’t expect a player to come back after a year off and hit the ground running, great to see him back to his best now. 4 goals 2 assists in 3 games

He was clearly knackered but when he came on the pitch at the end his body language was saying to me 'this is the last time'. I may have been misreading that completely though.

I really hope not, but I can see him going in January.

Criticising poor performances and writing players/ managers off are two different things.

Said same to my family last week … do hope I am wrong.

Yes to the defensive headers, and he ran around a lot but mostly chasing shadows and he didn’t hold the ball up at all. No way Ahadme would’ve scored those two goals. I don’t fault Ahadme’s attitude but Leaburn is a much better all round player and today highlighted the big difference between the two of them, imo.
