Excluding the keepers, I count 17 senior players (over 21).
Not counting the U21s, of course, could that mean we'll be looking to sign a further 3 senior players before the transfer window slams shut? Perhaps more, if current players depart (finance protocols permitting).

Who are you excluding, Morgan and Clayden? Believe they both count as over 21 as they were born before 01/01/2001. GKs are also excluded, so I think that makes 19 players with 3 slots to spare - someone confirmed the other day the cap has remained at 22 players (excluding GKs and u21s).

Just done a re-count. I had included Morgan as over 21 but didn't realise Clayden was also over age.
I've now realised I also missed Clare at Number 28 as he was buried in amongst a raft of youngsters.
Anyway, you're right 19 outfield seniors, 3 places available.
Just seen above the Swindon squad list ...... number 32 George Cowmeadow.
Reminds me of backalong when we signed Arthur Horsfield from Swindon. Cowmeadow, Horsfield ....... where do they get these names from?
Wonder if he has a brother called Mo? Reminds me of that old schoolboy joke about the young native American boy who asks his father how they decide on their names. His father replied "When I was born my parents looked out and saw a male buffalo at rest so they named me Sitting Bull. When your mother was born her parents looked out and saw a young foal on the plain, so they called her Little Horse. Why do you ask, Two Dogs Fucking?"
Interesting comments from Mr Garner about selecting squad numbers, in today's SLP:
"Charlton announced their squad numbers earlier this week.
Asked how much input he or his management team had in the process, Garner replied: “Minimal from me. It was left to our kit manager and the players, predominantly. I think there was only one incidence where two players wanted the same number and one player wanted to change his number from last season. Apart from that it was pretty straightforward."

So that’ll be Wollacott/MacGillivray for the no. 1 shirt and then Kirk changing from 20 to 14. I wonder what significance 14 has.
I see that Charlie Kirk wore the 10 shirt in his final full season (and again at the start last season) while at Crewe. For 3 seasons previously, he wore the 20 shirt.
Transferring to Charlton, he was never going to wrestle the 10 shirt from the legendary Albie Morgan, so wore the 20 shirt again - perhaps, he feels he never performs well in a 20 shirt?
