According to whoscored.com ...Zulu said:What do we know about Elliot Bell?
This season he's taken charge of six matches, three in the Champ, three in the League Cup.
He love a card, this boy:
Apparently he's taken charge of three previous Charlton fixtures and given us a total of 13 (THIRTEEN) yellow cards in those three matches ... but only two of those were when we were at home, the other 11 were away from The Valley.
We've only had this ref once per season thus far:
25/26 Div Two: 20 Dec 25 Oxford (h) ... won 1-0 (2 yellows for us, 1 to Oxford ... oh, and a booking for Rev Jones)
24/25 Div Three: 26 Nov 24 Burton (a) ... won 1-0 (6 yellows for us, red to Burton for violent conduct)
23/24 Div Three: 27 Apr 24 Wycombe (a) ... lost 0-1 (5 yellows to us, 2 to Wycombe)
I think we can look forward to plenty of cards (probably to us as we're away from home) but not many goals.0 -
Noticed the card tally on the club report. The referee has taken charge of six games so far this season, dishing out 23 yellow cards and two red cards. We might be down to 9 men by half time0

He's taken charge of seven of our matches in his career and we have a W4 D2 L1 record.

We've not had the pleasure of this chap's company this season (not as the main man, anyway) but had him twice last year against Blackburn (Sep-25 H 3-0 win) and Stoke (Feb-26 H 1-0 win).clive said:Tuesday 13th October 2026

In five career matches in charge of us we've never lost (W3 D2).

Tommy boy has reffed five matches so far this season, four in the Premier League and the League Cup tie between Everton (i.e. Prem) and Wolves ... Watford v Charlton is going to come as a bloody shock to his system!clive said:Watford v Charlton Athletic (12:30)

The whoscored.com site seems to be missing a large chunk of TB's matches and doesn't have him down as having been in charge of us before but a trawl through the other two shows he was in the middle for our League Cup win (on penalties) over Brighton in Dec-22 and a 2-1 away defeat against Oxford in Div Three back in Aug-21.
EDIT: he's obviously done something to p155 off the powers-that-be as he seems to have been stuck with the Croydon Cretins a lot in recent years (SIX times last season!)0 -

WhoScored.com only has Busby down as being in charge of us 6 times and not a great record:
P6 W1 D2 L3
Soccerbase has a useful season-by-season list of all referees' matches so we can see that this fellow has actually officiated more of our matches down the years, bizarrely the vast majority at The Valley:
Feb-26 Southampton (a) draw 1-1
Apr-26 Preston (h) lost 1-2
Dec-24 Cambridge (h) win 2-1
Sep-22 Forest Green (h) draw 1-1 (Ryan Inniss sent off for two yellow cards, almost certainly undeserved
)
Jan-21 Accy Stanley (h) lost 0-1
Sep-20 Donny Rovers (h) 1-3
Aug-19 Forest Green (h - Lge Cup) draw 0-0 (lost on pens)
Jan-19 Accy Stanley (h) won 1-0
Aug-18 MK Dons (a - Lge Cup) lost 0-3
Mar-18 Plymouth (h) won 2-0
Dec-17 Blackpool (h) draw 1-1
Oct-16 Chesterfield (h) won 1-0
I make it he's been in charge of 11 Charlton matches (nine! at The Valley) and we've got three wins.
Terrific ...0 -

WhoScored indicates we've had this fellow six times previously (I can't be arsed to trawl back through the seasons to check that stat ... they do have a habit of only going back so far) with an even W2 D2 L2 record.
Our last encounter with him was the 1-0 home defeat to the Canaries last March whilst his first game this season was Boro's League Cup win at home to Hollywood FC.
In nine matches this season (4 Champ, 2 Lge One, 2 Lge 2, 1Lge Cup) he's shown 31 yellow cards, 3 red (including a late double sending off for violent conduct in the Spanners-Bolton match in September) and has awarded 3 penalties.
Jason Bourne as the Fourth Official is a scary prospect.

This chap doesn't seem to have taken control of too many games in the last few years, just four this season (all Champ, 20 yellows, 2 reds, 1 pen) and then you have to go back to Oct-24 for his previous match.
Apparently he's reffed us six times with a less-than-impressive record of W1 D2 L3 and given us 10 yellow cards.
All stats courtesy of the two websites so if anything's wrong it their fault not mine
