From the Bulletin...
Charlton's sponsorship agreement with T-Mobile will expire at the end of July. T-Mobile have been the Addicks' official mobile network provider over the past three and a half years, but this will end after Tuesday, July 31st because the mobile company are gradually moving away from football sponsorship into other areas. This means that the Mobile Zone services on the official website will cease, as will the popular free text service. Charlton's commercial director Steve Sutherland said: "'I would like to thank T-Mobile for the excellent support that they have given to the club over the past three and a half seasons. "T-Mobile's sponsorship strategy is moving away from football but we have enjoyed an excellent relationship with their staff and they have been extremely supportive sponsors, working with us on providing many successful ventures including the free text information service, which has been an extremely popular service."
T-Mobile's strategy is moving away from football??? More like they don't want to be associated with a club that isn't going to enjoy the global exposure its had over the last three years.
