Naby Sarr's tackle that led to the cross that led to the goal away to Forest.0

Not sure if this qualifies… but Steve Browns tackle in the 98 playoff final that led to Mendonca’s 3rd and kept us in the game.2

Has anyone mentioned Miguel Angel Llera’s 9-man goal vs Swindon?7

Johnny Ostergaard , 1980 I think. A week after having been thumped 6-0 in the FA Cup at Wrexham , we were back there in the league. He scored a 25 yard cracker , the only thing he did in a Charlton shirt. We still lost 3-22

The one goal Johnny Oostergaard scored for us was a 30 yard screamer.0

Nicky Ajose’s goal at Portsmouth in the promotion season. Scenes and Limbs in the away end2

Really want more stuff that a) isn't just 'x scored a goal' and b) is on video. That Dale Stephens pass is a good one, albeit from a relatively heralded (by us) player. Steve Brown is a club legend, so um no. The Sarr tackle/cross is again from too heralded a player and it's too well-remembered. I want obscurely incredible stuff. The Varney example is a good one actually0 -
Neil Heaneys strike in the players bar at Portman Road in 1998.3

Matt Spring scoring a winner against Palace. Varney gets more credit for that than Spring does. Seem to remember him thumping it into the roof of the net0

It was the best save I have ever seen live though.0 -
John Hendrie v Millwall at Upton Park, 1992.
He came in from the left and Carl Leaburn made a clever run across the box which pulled a defender out of position…the goal opened up, but this was Millwall, and the usual effect on a player wearing a red shirt would be to stub his toe, turn his back on goal or collapse in a heap. However, Hendrie was on loan and not yet Charltonised and he hit the top corner with aplomb. So, a 1-0 win, as we made our way home Lord Lucan rode past on Shergar and said “about time too”.4 -
I remember a young player who came on and scored an equaliser against Newcastle. Curbs didn't even pick him in the squad the following week.0

And ideally, some astonishing bit of skill or endeavour, not just 'they scored'0

Steve White, came to us as part of the Walsh deal, did nothing all season then around Easter we were 3 down at half time to Wolves.
Second half White scored two and Killer one and we nearly won it at the death.
He finished the season well and thought he'd do well the following season then we sold him to Bristol Rovers.0 -

Tony Watt's timewasting masterclass against Forest, although not sure it's unheralded by us lot!

Addick Addict said:It completely passed me by the Lawrie Madden played for Millwall for a short period of time after he left us and before he played over 200 games for Sheffield Wednesday. You can take the Madden out of Charlton but not the Charlton out of Madden - watch from 1.40 onwards to see what I mean:0

Randolph save in the last minute against Beckford when we beat them 1 nil could be a shout.0

In the Millwall clip think it'sLaurie Madden hitting the spectator0

Collector's item. 28 Dec 65 at Fratton Park, on a freezing evening. A young Billy Bonds passed back to even younger debutant goalie Les Surman, who meanwhile had run out to pick up the ball, but alas it rolled past him into the empty net. 18 seconds played. Bonzo went on to play an enormous number of games in a lengthy career, but, at least as far as Charlton were concerned, this was Les' one and only match.

Mark Aizlewood catching the ball away at Upton Park in October 1986 to prevent a West Ham attack. A yellow card for that two handed take
