  • Would like to see Clare and Henry sign me contracts soon. Maybe Albie too.

Really hoping a few of those U21s make their mark too (and hang around!)
  • Mid Table at best

If we want to keep players, we need to sort out contracts now, not wait until Christmas when it's often too late

Yeah think locking down those two and Dobbo is key. I think the same with Morgan as well, although I'm also okay giving it another month or two to see if he can consistently perform at the levels he's shown early in the season, and letting that dictate how long we try to extend him for.

Have a look above at our squad position at the end of the last window, and how disappointing that had worked out.

  • Wow, there’s some long names in our squad. Broad shouldered people need only apply for some of those across the back of their shirt. Wow! Love Campbell’s middle names. Very tempted/inspired to apply to deed poll for the addition of Obi Wan Kenobi as middle names. Would be quite amusing at border control as I wave my passport weirdly at officers 🤣

Again (as this was noticed in a previous list) Josh Davison in the Wimbledon list isn't listed as home grown!

    What is a Home-Grown Player?
A "Home-Grown Player" means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21)

That would mean a player playing just for a pub team in London who gets discovered by an EFL team aged 22 wouldn't be considered home grown, as he wasn't with a team, affiliated to the FA?

None of our three first choice keepers appear in the lists of registered players but Harvey does
  • Neither of our first choice keepers appear in the lists of registered players but Harvey does
    League One and League Two
Under-21 Players and Goalkeepers do not need to be named on the Squad List in order to be eligible to participate in a League Match. For Season 2022/23 Under-21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 2001. Please note that the U21 section shows those Players registered at their parent club. Some of the Players named on this section may have been loaned to another club for Season 2022/23.

Thanks - though it does beg the question why goalkeepers aren't named on a squad list even if they aren't counted as such (they could have a "G" after their names) especially when U21 keepers are specifically named. This isn't an accurate reflection of the actual registered players which is what the list is meant to represent.
  • Interesting to note that we have the second largest number of u21 contracted squad.
But a bottom half number of  squad list players.
Which shows that the club planned to rely on the u21 to make up the number of players available for first team thst way.

We've also used a ridiculous number of players this season - 45 in all comps with 34 (32 starting) in the League alone. Arsenal have had just 17 start for them in the PL which is one of the reasons that they have team cohesion and we haven't.

The U21 list includes key first team players like Rak-Sakhi, Leaburn and Ness, plus the likes of Henry and Campbell who ought to be involved in the first team at their age. No point having an academy unless you play them

Davison-Ponytail didn't count as "home grown" for that very reason.
