2022-23 CL Prediction League Week 9 Results

When I made my predictions last week, I distinctly remember thinking that Charlton would draw 0-0 at Lincoln. I also thought that Palace, after a slow start, would beat Leeds 2-1. That meant just one more selection, I hesitated, but felt decisive and decided that Huddersfield must come good soon and would beat hapless Hull 2-0. As I went to check the scores this week, I was wondering how I could appear humble after scoring 10 points. I mean it's a difficult position to be in when you run a competition and get the maximum score. I decided I would make light of it and say that I was lucky or, perhaps, say that my young granddaughter chose the games and the scores. As I sat down to check the scores, my heart sank. I didn't choose the Charlton game, let alone the 0-0 scoreline. I overlooked Palace and, heck, I am sure I put Huddersfield down for 2-0 not 1-0. One measly point in a week with the highest average of the season. Indeed, congratulations to this week's high-flyers, who all scored 7 points - @sholland, @seth plum, @chezzafromcharlton, @BR7_addick and @Bill_Stumps. In addition to that, @Macronate lost top spot after an off-week, which means we have a new leader, @Karim_myBagheri. @paulie8290 deserves a mention, who, after a dreadful start, is the highest scorer over the last four weeks with 20 points and has crept into the Premier League. @StrikerFirmani has the dubious honour of being in the same position as Charlton. Now, how can I check that the mods didn't alter my predictions?

    Yep , the amount of shit running through my head (and bottom) , i often have multiple scores i thought id chosen but didn't and same with beat the bookies
