Wollacott: 6 Egbo: 7.5 - great support going forward. Defensively assured against their threat. Inniss: 6 O'Connell: 6 Sessegnon: 6.5 - extra half a mark for his goal saving challenge. R-S: 6 - some good runs and interplay with Egbo. fades out of game. Dobson: 8 - we were up against it in the midfield second half but kept going till the end. Reads the game well defensively and helped out the CBs on numerous occasions. Fraser: 6.5 - some good stuff but is let down by dwelling on the ball for too long at times. Physically think he could do well in that centre midfield role. Kirk: 5.5 Stockley: 6 - won some of his aerial battles. still let down by his first touch. Is he still claiming that goal?? Leaburn: 7 - Did what stockly did but did it better. Movement, First touch, hold up play and good passing. Nicely taken goal. Clare: 5.5 - out of position a few times when he came on. looked a bit sluggish. Morgan: 5.5 - run around a fair bit in a semi striker role when he came on which made little sense. Payne: 6 - nice header. busy. B-T: 6 - nice cross for the goal but still lets himself down with other opportunities. Referee: 7 - don't agree with the pen but like how he kept the game flowing and didn't resort to trying to be the centre of attention.
Wollacott: 7 very little to-do, come for crosses well. Egbo: 8 nice to have a full back that can defend and attack. Inniss: 7 bit shakey on the ball.. Annoys me, he never troubles the oppo when attacking corners. Just seems to head the ball back across the goal to no body. O'Connell: 7.5 good game, sets us up nicely Sessegnon: 7.5 stead performance, we look more comfortable when he plays. R-S: 7 troubled them all night, end product lacking, but he is young and looks to make things happen Dobson: 8.5 was very good tonight, won the battle in the middle of the park, and looking for positive passes, not always coming off. Fraser: 8.5 as above. Kirk: 6 in and out of the game, but he certainly has the vision of a killer pass Stockley: 7 worked hard, lacking confidence at the moment Leaburn: 9 best game in a charlton shirt, I thought he was very good, first touch was better. He has everything to be a good premier league footballer Clare: 7 best game for a while, and actually looked ok at left back for a change Morgan: 6 did ok Payne: 7 worked well when he come on.. looks better when the team looks more confident. Pleased he scored B-T: 7 much better Referee: 5 poor
Was not looking forward to the match and arriving at a sparsely occupied ground didn't help but in the end had a great night as did the grandchildren . Didn't have a great game but would persevere with Kirk has ability on the ball and tried hard,
Wollacott: 6.5 - Maybe surprised by the shot for the first, but thought he should have saved it, weak hand. Certainly more commanding than Mac and you don't panic when the ball goes back to him. Egbo: 7.5 - Thought he was excellent second half. Frustrated me first half, was wasteful when getting forward to good positions, particularly with poor crossing. Might be being a tad harsh, after all he done well to get into those positions. Inniss: 7 - Solid enough, both him and EOC are a little slow. O'Connell: 7 - As above Sessegnon: 6.5 - Tired badly but thought he had a decent first half and made a crucial block in the early part of the second half, CB's certainly weren't getting close. R-S: 6 - Looked dangerous but rarely delivered Dobson: 8.5 - MOTM, thought he was everywhere and played a part in 2 goals as an added bonus Fraser: 7.5 - Still has the odd clumsy moment which nearly cost us but clearly has real quality Kirk: 6 - Meh. Doesn't get involved enough but again, clearly has quality, just need to see it more often Stockley: 6 - Better with a partner but still looked poor to me. Leaburn: 8 - Thought he had an outstanding first half. Plus .5 for the goal which was slightly fortuitous but he made the space and was composed cutting inside Clare: 6.5 Morgan: 5.5 - Got really annoyed a couple of times when he was forward and failed to run back when we were potentially under a counter. No excuse when he'd just come on. Payne: 6.5 - Didn't do much but nice header for the goal B-T: 7 - Nice little cameo Referee: 6.5 - Solid enough, minus .5 for the penalty. Game was won but poor decision.
Wollacott: 6 - not too much to do and no chance with either goal Egbo: 8 - good defensively and going forward, with his strength, pace and athleticism. Mishit a few crosses (a common feature of our side) and tired towards the end, but he has really added something to the side following his return from injury. Inniss: 6.5 - pretty solid. Did his usual dodgy pass out of defence but got his head on a few corners, including one decent effort in the second half O'Connell: 6.5 - reasonably sound. His and Inniss' lack of pace prevents us playing a higher line and squeezing the opposition more effectively, but at least they're getting the opportunity to form some sort of partnership Sessegnon: 6 - was reluctant to get forward too much, which was understandable with only two in central midfield and Kirk in front of him. R-S: 7 - he has the ability to beat defenders at will but the final ball was lacking. A real worry for the opposition, even if he's not fully on it Dobson: 8 - bears a particularly heavy responsibility in this formation (especially with two lightweight wingers) and turned in a fine defensive performance. His reading of the game and ability to spot danger is excellent. A nice chipped pass to assist Leaburn's goal, when the right side of Exeter's defence had gone totally AWOL Fraser: 7 - has done pretty well in central midfield. Lacks a bit of pace and physicality and occasionally gets caught in possession in dangerous areas, although that sometimes reflects a lack of movement ahead of him Kirk: 4.5 - a really weak performance Stockley: 6 - still a bit laboured and his touch wasn't great, although he stuck at it and won some good headed flick ons Leaburn: 8 - excellent. Took his goal really well and didn't give the Exeter defenders a moment's peace. He must be extremely difficult to play against. Showed a good turn of speed, football intelligence and some very nice touches. Clare: 7 - added some pace and energy down the left after his introduction Morgan: 6 - did alright, given that he was playing out of position. You'd have got good odds on Albie and Chuks playing minutes together up top Payne: 6 - buzzed around to not much effect, but what a thumping header for the 4th goal B-T: 7.5 - his introduction was pivotal in putting the game beyond Exeter's reach. Had the full back on toast every time and produced a couple of very good crosses, which he hasn't always managed to do. The one for Jack Payne's goal was excellent Referee: 6 - ok. I haven't seen the highlights but I did immediately think at the time that Chuk's challenge in the box was a foul.

Egbo 8 - great going forward, seems to be getting better each game
Inniss 7 - decent game, avoided the catastrophic error that we’ve become used to
O'connell 7 - see above
Sessegnon 7 - we look so much better with a natural fullback. Hope he can start playing 90 mins
R-s 6.5 - some good, not always effective, standard winger game
Dobson 7.5 - shaky early on, over committed to some tackles but really grew into the game
Fraser 6.5 - not as impactful as he’s been before, lost possession in key positions once or twice
Kirk 6.5 - some good, not always effective, standard winger game, slightly less impactful than JRS
Stockley 6.5 - was a nuisance, looks more comfortable with someone up with him, think one goal opens the floodgates
Leaburn 7.5 - took his goal well, never let their defenders settle
Clare 6.5 - looked uncomfortable on the left but worked diligently
Morgan 6.5 - kept things ticking over without really standing out
Payne 7 - lots of energy, great to see him get a goal
BT 6.5 - think the kick up the arse did him good. Loses .5 for giving away the penalty
