The real highlight of the evening was when ‘Nigel’ was called up to cut the cake. Nigel proudly stood up, puffed out his chest and walked towards the front. Only to realise after about 7 steps that they meant another Nigel :-)
Au contraitre! They do some awesome pies and are growing rapidly

Do you think the name 'Piglets Pantry' is advisable? Have you noticed the rapid growth of the meat free shelves and products in the shops?
What's wrong with the name?
Yes, meat free is growing and good luck to anyone who chooses that diet. But the vast majority still eat meat, and that's the market they are playing to.
Don't see a problem myself. Or are you advocating some sort of restriction on choice?

Not at all, but I thought Swisdom was intimating that 'Piglets Pantry' was a growing company to get involved with in the future, and my comment was about the current direction of travel away from pigs.

The point being that the vast majority of people still eat meat, so why would you ignore that and pitch your product only at a minority market? (when there are already people pitching to that market)
But I get it. I think you may have told us once or twice that you don't like meat and so it doesn't appeal to you. Which is fine. But that's no reason they should change their name.

They do an afternoon Vegan Tea so there is hope Seth
I just thought I would add what a great evening it was- brillant to catch up with old friends and also meet some new ones. Some really moving stories being told especially about the 'ghosts' of Charlton fans at The Valley. A really poignant and important night and a great start to the celebrations-that said, a friend of mine could not believe the Fans Bar were selling a pint of Heinken at £6.10!
Here is a brief report of the evening including Roger Alwen recreating his famous Woolwich Town Hall announcement that the club would be returning to The Valley:
