This is the highest level TC has played so far in his career. He is adapting to the new challenge and each game finding ways to unlock defences. The very fact that he does not look out of place is a testament to the hard work , talent and confidence that both him and the coaching team have put into his progress. Only 2 games and when I remember his progress last season I am incredibly excited so see how far he can push himself this season.
Such a pleasure to watch an academy graduate show there is an achievable path to our first team.
He’s had two games at the highest level of his career and certainly didn’t look out of place. Thought he looked very good in spells. He’s not reached his ceiling yet.
I thought he scared the bejesus out of them yesterday everytime he got the ball and although no real end product was often double and triple marked, which I think says it all.

Lots of others saying Apter also double marked so if we can get it right that leaves a lot of gaps for Kelman, Carey, Knibbs etc to exploit
I do wonder if TC may be more effective being the player that comes off the bench with 20 to go against tired legs.
He gets himself into great positions every game, but it's the wastefulness and inefficiency that are the issues. At this level you need to be more clinical.

If he was efficient and not wasteful, he wouldn’t be with us
He just needs some time to get used to the division and his teammates. He took a little time to warm up into last season too and he barely had any rest over the summer
Then again he also runs himself into the ground for 65 mins which is one of the reasons Tanto, Leaburn et al can look so good because TC has done the legwork closing down and tiring out the defence.

He's 21 so has the time to get there.
Just think we (may) have better players now available, that we didn't before, that could offer us more efficiency in front of goal for the majority of the game now.

Gut feel is thats why NJ starts with him.
It's a long old season and I can see a time where him and tanto get alternated alot, as you say busting a gut every game for 60-70 mins will take its toll so good to have the option of rotating the front line.
He’s certainly got the talent and is a fantastic player to have around, and as mentioned he scares opposition players. Him being in the team helps with the overall balance, because teams can’t really double up on both him and Apter without leaving big gaps elsewhere.
My concern in both games so far is giving the ball away in dangerous positions for counters. He did it Saturday when Mehmeti hit the bar, and twice against Watford he let the ball go at key points that a better team would have exploited on the break. Which is all about his decision making, if he can get it right we will have a 15-20 million pound player on our hands
Read the Bristol City forum. They thought Tyreece was very good. As did I.
He got positive comments from the Watford fans after the opener as well. TC and Josh Edwards have been the players that seem to have caught the eye of opposition fans in both matches, with Ramsay also getting a lot of praise from the Bristol City fans.
Tyreece is an example of what Rodwell (I can’t work Rodwell out just yet) said the other day when he said what’s the point of having a decent academy if you loan and sign tons of players. I agree with him about that. The academy is or should be about developing our own guys or there is little point having one. Miles, Tyreece, Karoo, Zach, AMB, Fullah and others are our USP, or should be,
TC was adapting to League One last year and didn’t fully work that out. 7 goals & 1 assist in 3,500 minutes shows that. Big jump up to the Championship and while his all round speed based game has transitioned well, it won’t be enough.
We’ve already seen in two games, there are going to be less clear cut moments to score this season and we need quality to create and take those chances.
I hope and am rooting for TC to get that next part of his game.

Yep thought he had a very good game yesterday, particularly in the first half.
TC is still up there in the top 2 most important players in our side - if either he or Jones are missing, we will suffer - coventry not far off that - we have signed some very good players and ramsey is outstanding but TC is fundamental to how we play

Still needs to gel with kelman and carey. Did look tired near the end yesterday and maybe needs a rest, as adapting to the level?
