  • Some lovely approach play. Just needs a big burly forward who can burst through and finish…oh we have one now!
    Chuks for JRS.
  • Strange half, think we've had the better of it but Shrews still look a threat on the break and set pieces.. Think both sides have had good chances but ours feel more painful.
  • Should be winning, these missed chances especially the Rak-Sakyi one might haunt us here.
Remember Derby at the start of the season. I bet the Derby fans were saying this after 45 mins.
  • Should be a couple in front JRS has missed to absolute sitters 😤
  • Shrewsbury currently looking like a less refined version of Bolton, but again we do struggle when they push their wing backs up and go wide.

Otherwise we really grew into that and were much the better side for most of the game without it scoring (where have heard that before).

Think if the game starts to open up second half, especially with Chuks on the bench, that should play into our hands.
  • We need an early 2nd half goal or this will go to tits

Following on the match thread today as out,  sounds hard to call as to who the better side is?

And as for the JRS comments, come on, the kids final ball has been gash for weeks more often than not.

Hows Campbell looked, worthy of more game time?
  • Should be winning 3-1 - Saki needs to buy some shooting boots

  • Dull game and atmosphere, but both sides should have scored, and we should be ahead

Isnt disgracing himself, if he's getting the ball in space he's a threat, if he's being tightly marked then he's tended to lose the ball - He's unfortunate not to have scored twice, he's caused their Goalkeeper the most problems
  • They ain’t very good, and our passing is causing them problems. However, our finishing continually points to us losing this 1-0.
  • We had the better of that. The stats bear thst out too. Dobson and Fraser ran the last 30 minutes. Campbell looks good.
    Whoever scores first will win.
  • All the subs warming up at HT

  • SSN: We are the only team in League 1 without an away win
  • Phew, back to the game…
  • Nothing happening so far, bit more possession midfield play from us, as both sides find their feet in the early stages of this half
  • Accies 2 Bolton 0
  • Its all well and good using Stockley as an option to hold the ball up.

But if we're gonna do that, we need to have options for him - He's just dropped almost to the halfway line to get the ball, no one has moved for him, so he's lost the ball and concedes a free kick
  • Whoops, given away the corner

  • This is where you bring your striker on.
  • I’d hoped we’d have left someone/Kirk up for that but hohum
  • Kirk had what was going to be a good chance nicked off his toe

Garhh... Lovely long ball from Dobson, finds Kirk with some lovely ball control

But it allowed the Shrews player to get back

Few more seconds and he'd have been in the box with a chance to shoot
  • Campbell falls but gets it back, wins a throw by the corner flag
  • Cleared eventually

Should ALWAYS leave someone up when defending a corner. I'd even go 2. One just inside your own half & 1 halfway between box & halfway line.

We have a fairly decent one on the bench.
  • Rak-Saki brought down again
  • Oxford 1-2
