2022-23 CL Prediction League Week 14 Results

With almost the last kick in the Premier League before the break for the World Cup, Manchester United went 2-1 up against Fulham. Around 30-odd CL Prediction competitors simultaneously leapt into the air to celebrate and push the weekly average closer to 2 points. One of the beneficiaries of that goal and this week's top scorer was @Bournemouth Addick, who netted an impressive 6 points, although more confidence in AFC Bournemouth's chances against Everton could have landed an even bigger score. Our two long-running 'streakers' ended the runs this week. @dajavouslagan scored less than 2 points for the first time in 9 weeks, leaving @timken as our most consistent competitor. Meanwhile, @fat man on a moped ended an unwanted poor run, leaving four others, including Pessimist Pete, to take over that title. Graveyard Prediction of the Week was Millwall's 4-2 win at Preston, which brought double pain to 29 competitors.

Oh well, Week 15 lies ahead. The CL Prediction League is carrying on during the World Cup with a mixture of L1, L2, World Cup games and one or two guest fixtures. At least, Millwall can't spoil the weekend.
