They'll be straight back next year and we are back where we are now.. had we got them off the wages and recruited improvements and went for a promotion push, then fair enough, but no, we have loaned out a ton of players we paid fees for and haven't replaced them adequately.
McG was good business, so was Stockley. EoC, shocking. Hands down our best centre back and sold for a measly 350k. The only senior centre back who looked like he could improve. Selling him to Wrexham is genuinely embarrassing and should be raising alarms, our vice captain has willingly dropped to non league instead of staying with us. Jesus Christ.

Gallen is maybe the worst football negotiator or whatever his title is now, his bad signings outweigh the good ones (the good ones mostly being loans), our owner is a complete twat. Experienced players who have all played at a higher level. All out of contract in the summer so need to impress to earn a contract here or elsewhere. Having players at the Club that have no chance of playing does not make us stronger. I would prefer Mitchell or Eleware in the side than say Lavelle. All about opinions.

All our players who have actually been good in recent years have been loans from premier League teams or players who are climbing the league's. Our recruitment system/team has been absolutely tragic

Inniss - who always has a mistake in him - is out of contract in June (and, in my opinion, needs to be moved on); ditto the unwanted Thomas, who was about to sign for Forest Green; Lavelle's Charlton's career will be over if anyone will take him in the summer; and Hector - who has played something like 4 games in the last 18 months and none this season, only has a deal until June.

Selling of EOC severely undermines the defence. Charlton are left with an error prone & red card 3 match suspension away player in Inniss as one of the mainstays & youngsters with Ness & Thoma & some defender who barely played in 2 year. It sets the alarm bells ringing on the Sandgaard / Methven consortium ‘plan’ for rest of the season.
Inniss hardly presents insurmountable competition for O'Connell, who is a far better player. If it was the other way around, Wrexham would have acquired Inniss. Apart from his numerous howlers, Inniss is, as Vff says, a red card waiting to happen.
The words of sophistry about not being able to "guarantee [O'Connell] the playing time he wanted" are complete bullshit. It was all about the cheque that Wrexham dangled in front of Sandgaard - nothing more and nothing less.
O'Connell is better on the ball than Inniss, but I've always liked to have one big geezer in defence who won't get out muscled and who will win headers. O'Connell doesn't give you that. I think he's been ever so slightly over rated, based on what we've seen from him so far. Would have liked to have kept him though, but suspect he wanted the move.

I still feel the squad is better even though lighter on numbers than when the window opened. 3 newcomers started in todays win. How many departures would anyone want in the starting 11. OConnell for me would be the only one in with a shout.
Said it before, far too much doom and gloom about our window. We let our rubbish players go and we brought in players who have a decent pedigree with something to prove. All of whom will be available to make a decision on at the end of the season.

At the moment there is no real need to alter the back four. Yes having Sess' in there would be great but although Clare has a habit of going to sleep at crucial moments, he is a decent replacement. I also think that Kilkenny has given us a midfield three as good as any in the top ten teams in this division. If as reported Hector is ready to play under 21 games, great, but at his level of fitness he was never going to be a starter and I would rather have him on the bench than Thomas or Lavelle. We have two winnable games coming up, then we face probably our hardest run with Derby, Plymouth, Sheff wed and the rearranged Peterborough game, those games will definitely define our season, with only one of them at home. Also lets address the comment by Andy Scott about money being available in the transfer window. I believe that Andy Scott was told that the takeover would have been completed by mid January, and as quite a few people on here have alluded to, TS has dragged it on and if that isn't the case why is Andy Scott still here or for that matter the other exec's who arrived with him ?
I know it’s only one game, but Kilkenny looks like a very shrewd signing. Makes me feel more optimistic about Hector’s prospects somehow. If only Sess and Egbo were fit I think we’d potentially have an excellent back four.
Penney was ok yesterday, and improved a lot from his debut performance where he looked shaky. I’m trying to remember when we last signed a player I’d heard of, not that it seems to matter. Probably Marcus Maddison, and Harry Arter? They turned out well!
I knew of Elliott Lee, Fraser and Jaiyesimi only because they stood out when they played against us. I’d never heard of Dobbo, Egbo, Kilkenny, Inniss or even Stephen Sessegnon.
Shame we’ll presumably lose Kilkenny, Sessegnon, Kane, Penney and Rak Sakyi next season. Perhaps our three billionaires will have a whip round to make a couple of them permanent? Lol
