  • Well I never.

Didnt think at 3.30pm we'd get them out below 265.

  • If only we could keep Wood fit for every Test.
He makes such a huge difference.
If Wood and Archer hadn't got the injury issues we'd have such a different attack.
  • Not too many miles in the legs either which is good
  • OK England just bat for the next 5 sessions
  • 6 for 23. Thats some collapse.

    263 all out.

30 ish overs to bowl theoretically. Hopefully we can get to 100 for only a couple down. Would be our day at that point.
  • What an absolutely fantastic display from Wood. When he's fit and firing he's different class
  • Well catchable Well done England  B)
  • Think we might be rueing that drop by Root. Had them on the ropes at lunch. Now looking they will build a good score.
     what I said at 3pm.

  • Blowing the tail away is such a crucial aspect of genuine fast bowlers.
Or a class spinner, the tail ends normally aren't good enough to nick a swinging seaming ball.

And it will be interesting how Brook, at 3, approaches it from that perspective
  • Groundsmen for remaining Ashes Tests take note - give us a wicket that is Wood friendly !!!

Would have been great to have at Edgbaston.
  • What a day of cricket again.

Would have taken getting them for 265, frustrating it could have been about 150 but it's good.

Now come on Crawley and Duckett!
  • I think i fancy mark wood. What a player.

Old Trafford & The Oval are genuinely tailormade for Wood. Whether he can string 3 tests in a row together is another matter.
  • I see that Notts have been on a Chelsea type raid in signing both Josh Tongue and Dillon Pennington from Worcestershire. To lose one quick is bad enough but to lose two for a county like Worcestershire is hard to take.

I know Anderson would be gutted not to play at OT but Broad, Woakes, Wood and Tongue.  As 3 of them can bat could we get the leggie in as well?

Turn and bounce in the last two tests...

  • That score would have been 100 less had root not got butter from his sandwich all over his fingers!

Notts love stealing from Leicestershire & Worcestershire

Might potentially go Anderson for Broad

I've always thought cricket needed some sort of transfer fee system to reward counties for their effort in bringing through players.
  • Tomorrow should be a great day for batting

Australia piling on the runs after we're bowled out for 123 tonight
  • That is how to take a catch as wicket keeper. That flew off Duckett's bat.
  • duckett caught behind
  • Really bad shot that ...
  • difference between the teams. They have a proper keeper. Bairstow wouldn't have got that,

    Square pegs in round holes.
  • Come on Harry.
