If the rain stops England winning this test like the last one can we stop the test matches being played in the 'north' and play them all down south in Southampton or maybe Italy 🤔
Can’t believe they have less than 200 and we’re almost at the new ball… they’re almost 100 short, at least 50, of where I’d expect them to be at this point.
Maybe they’ll make them up with a partnership but otherwise that feels like lost runs in a match where you’re losing a wicket every 8-10 overs anyway.
England have 3 sub fielders on and thankfully are choosing to not use Amar Virdi.
Lawrence, Ealham (discussed further up the thread) and Josh Blake are on the field.
Blake just over a year ago was playing club cricket and coaching kids as part of the ace programme I think when Surrey plucked him out of nowhere when we needed a keeper for the 50 over comp last year. He's been excellent ans even came in for a couple of T20s when Smith was injured. By all accounts he's a great lad to have around the place, really grounded and excellent fielder.
I'm on a call and have the cricket on mute, why was that not out?
Bairstow disturbed the first bail before the ball was in his gloves. The second bail came up after the ball was in his gloves but Smith’s bat was in by that point.

I will call it Strangle-ball
we stop them getting runs and then whip them out as the pressure grows
2.4 an over is the new Baz-Ball

I do like Ricky Ponting commentating.
