    Yes, many of us have family or friends who for various reasons find life a struggle at times, so thanks for a reminder.

    I often have in the past @dave21 the last few years I’ve gone on retreats which have helped enormously.

    I haven’t had time to think about this one, as I’m in the middle of moving and my minds very much distracted by packing and 📦, perhaps opportune timing on my part?

    NYE is always the time I find the most poignant. It used to evoke very melancholic feelings even though things have always been generally pretty decent. But it does make me wonder how people in much more difficult situations cope. 
    I've found a takeaway, streaming a decent film and an early-ish night is the best way to manage my way through the time. And remember the rest of the world is NOT out partying, even though it can seem like it if you aren't. And those who are are often just waiting for about half past midnight so they can leave the forced jollity and go home to bed.

    NYD is a day for a long dog walk with a country pub en route. Start as you mean to go on, and look ahead.

    Best wishes to all who find themselves feeling down and out at this time of year. Remember that the days are getting longer and brighter.

    Tonight, I walked over from the South spoons to the bus stop next to the Tescos Express.
    A guy had settled himself down minus a coat etc. That cannot be right.
