MacGillivray: 6.5 kicking atrocious… doesn’t fill me with confidence Clare: 7 not a right back but put himself about and showed energy. Innis: 7.5 he’s a beast at the back and better in the ball than he gets credit for. Ness: 7 can’t say I noticed him much which isn’t necessarily a bad thing for a defender. Looks ok Sessegnon: 8 clear to see he is one of our players who can play at a higher level Dobson: 7.5 some great stuff but have the ball away every now and again Morgan: 7 ok… but ponderous at time…. But plays it around nicely at times Fraser: 8.5 some great stuff.. this is the player I thought we were getting from MK R-S: 7.5 part of a strong front three …. Should have shot first time - feels a bit Lloyd Sam sometimes Leaburn: 7.5 so strong up top…. Tires a bit near the end B-T: 8.5 (MOM) superb finish for his goal and scared the shit out of them when running at them Payne: 7 needs to be more positive sometimes Referee:
MacGillivray: 5.5 Gives me a squeaky bum too often Clare: 6 A lot of endeavour Innis: 7 A controlled performance Ness: 7 Impressed so far and beyond his years Sessegnon: 6.5 Better balance with SS in the side Dobson: 8 thought he read the game very well. One or two misplaced passes, but he is an encouraging captain and performing great! Morgan: 7 worked really hard today and a couple of exceptional passes Fraser: 8.5 Great goal and assist. Got MOTM in the lounges, but CBT marginally shaved it to me. R-S: 7 A threat and hope his situation is resolved soon. Leaburn: 7.5 Lovely lovely touches and overall game play. Whoever is working with him in training 👏👏👏 His game has improved a lot since his return from injury while he still maintains huge potential B-T: 9 Attack, attack, attack, attack, attack…! No stop terror for their right back to deal with. Payne: 6.5 Industrious enough Referee: 6 did ok in the main
MacGillivray: 5.5 - Had very little to do and looked nervy doing it. His distribution is not good. He's not good at coming off his line. We knew this, we know this, and we're very lucky to have two keepers who are significantly better than him. Hopefully this is his last league start for us and he moves on this month.
Clare: 7 - Got up and back well. Not as spectacular as his last couple of games, but not much went down his side, and he linked up well with JRS. Made the wrong choice a couple of times in the final third but don't hold that against him too much--one was not trying to play a very difficult ball to JRS.
Innis: 7 - Much better. The more he can defend on the front foot, the better he is. Hoping he is dropped for next weekend though so that... Ness: 8 - Ness can start next to O'Connell. As I said in the match thread, the boy looks like he's been playing in this league for years, not weeks. Mobile, mops up well, solid on the ball but doesn't take chances. He's a very good fit for this team. I still hope we add another CB this month, and try to move Lavelle somewhere on loan, but I'm looking forward to seeing Ness and O'Connell, who I believe are currently our two best CBs.
Sessegnon: 7- A lot went down his side, or, a lot comparatively, as Lincoln clearly identified that CBT wouldn't be tracking back as much. He held his own well and not much got past him. Didn't get forward as much, but took defenders away from CBT when he did.
Dobson: 8 - His improvement on the ball in tight spaces as the season has gone on has been excellent. Start the first goal and got himself out of trouble a couple of times. Please sign him to a very long extension.
Morgan: 7 - Solid. His graft and mobility work really well in this side as it's currently constructed. Plus, we know he can pick a pass. Maybe, just maybe, we've finally found a role Albie can excel in. He has all the tools to be a good player in this league, but we've never really found the role to get the best out of him. Ironically, we're back to the midfield three who started the season so well.
Fraser: 8.5 - Class. As they said on CharltonTV, as I've been saying for weeks, if you give him a freer role, he will show his quality on the ball. He worked hard play a deeper midfield or box-to-box role, but he really needs that "third" role in midfield (not quite a 10, not really an 8) where he can drift into pockets of space, link up play, pick a pass, and score goals. When we first signed him, I had doubts about his ability to earn the right to "play" in this league. I was wrong, he has more about him physically than I expected, and finding him the right role is key.
R-S: 8 - Ran them ragged down the right and caused them all sorts of trouble. Didn't get his goal, but did everything else, including pressing well and getting into passing lanes.
Leaburn: 7.5 - All it took for us to play free flowing, attacking, and pressing football was a mobile center forward. Who knew? EXCEPT FOR ALL OF US! He has grown and developed so much in just a few short months. When you think about how he started the season, he looks so much more assured, mature, and tactically astute. He runs in behind and drops deep. His touch is much better and he's better with the ball at his feet. He has surprisingly good vision. Uh, let's hope we get another half season of him.
B-T: 8 - This is what CBT does when he's good: he takes on his man, causes havoc, and chips in with goals. Simple as. He's another where hopefully we've found a role for him in the team where he can excel. On his day, he is a very good winger in this league.
Payne: 5 - He is not a box-to-box midfielder by trade. He's filled in there at time, but he's better further up the pitch or in the Fraser role, and bringing him on for Albie was a gamble that didn't pay off.
Referee: 4 - Was fine until stoppage time, what happened there?!?!
Egbo on CTV: 9 - Solid. Bright. Humble, Insightful. Down to earth. Comes across as a decent guy and gives good insight into the team. Hoping he'll be back as fast as possible as I thought he looked very good for us.
MacGillivray: 6, Did ok, one silly pass but ok apart from that Clare: 6, He is not a defender Innis: 9, Was a rock for the first 15 mins and the last 15 Ness: 8, Plays it simple, another good performance Sessegnon: 8, If we sign a left back he will be even better on the right Dobson: 7, The usual 'won't let you down' performance Morgan: 7, Did well, missed him when he went off Fraser: 10, As good as last week R-S: 8, Another really good showing, unlucky not to score Leaburn: 7, A threat, never stopped running, and a great cross B-T: 9, Best display I've seen from him, scored and every cross found it's man Payne: 6, Hard to come on in those conditions Referee: 6
MacGillivray: 5 doesn't inspire confidence Clare: same as above 5 Innis: liking the hoof it defending 7 Ness: calm and assured, no nonsense 7.5 Sessegnon: Mr reliable 7.5 Dobson: Mr Consistent 8 Morgan: we looked poorer when he went off 7 Fraser: The real Scott Fraser? 8.5 R-S: usual handful 7 Leaburn: mature beyond his years 7.5 B-T: if only he was consistent 7.5 Payne: weakened us when he came on 5.5 Referee: not bad 6.5
MacGillivray: 5.5 - nothing to do except cause alarm when called upon Clare: 7 Innis: 7 Ness: 7 Sessegnon: 7 Dobson: 8 Morgan: 7 Fraser: 8 R-S: 7 Leaburn: 7 B-T: 7 Payne: 6 Referee: 6 - would have been more but for getting himself noticed by fussiness late on.
MacGillivray: amazing that AMB seems far more re-assuring after just a few games 7 Clare: 7.5 Innis: 8 Ness: 8.5 Sessegnon: 8 Dobson: 8 Morgan: 7.5 Fraser: still too slow and a worry when he gets the ball with his back to goal - facing forwards he's a different player 7.5 R-S: 7.5 Leaburn: 7.5 B-T: some wasteful shooting but didn't he take his goal well? 7.5 Payne: 6 Referee: gave Leaburn hardly any protection but otherwise got most things right 6
