My grandparents lived on the progress estate, I remember visiting them, would be around 1950. Wonder if Sylvia Sims was nearby?

Loved the comment in the Obituaries that she turned down a large autobiography advance from publishers because she thought no-one would be interested. She suggested the book could be called "Who the fuck is Sylvia?" RIP Sylvia.

Wonderful actress, with a long and versatile career.

It's crazy to think that she made more money from Ice Cold in Alex being used for TV advertising than she did for the film.
