    barely touched his pint
    Dissapointing
  • Slightly random appearance, I assume his wife has friends over that he didn't like and he needed an excuse to get out of the house  ;)

Curbs Coming up after the break.
Any bets as to when this’ll get moved to the House of Commoners thread? 😂
  • Interesting interview i guess. Bit about his time as west ham manager which i didn't know much about. Was undermined by their board. all to do with the financial crash in 2008 and how he had to try and raise a certain amount of cash in the summer window, he got close but the board started to advertise players behind his back. always thought it was cos he wasn't glamours enough for the west ham fans that he left.

That was the most interesting bit of the interview, as we know his Charlton history anyway

I thought that was common knowledge. The owners got burned by the Icelandic banks crashing.

Northern Ireland protocol sorted out now.  We're on to tariffs, VAT exemptions and Operation Brock after the next break.

Didn't they sell the full back, Creswell I think, to Sunderland behind his back?

    They're all on here.

Is there some sort of alert on there or something?
  • They were Icelandic, essentially going bust and started selling players without his knowledge, he sued for constructive dismissal, won but in the same process put most owners off him hence he never really managed again iirc (wasn't listening)
  • Enjoyed that interview. Hopefully they can show it again on Charlton TV before the Exeter game.

Not sure why they would do that as he has provided far more detail on Charlton TV already. That was an interview for people who do not know Charlton.

They had good chemistry so perhaps next time Scott Minto is working for Talksport, Farage could stand in as Charlton TV host?

Yes, some people. As in not all people.
    Hmm. 🤔
  • Someone had to be on it, so why couldn't it be Curbs?

Never know, this could be the start of a great relationship with the Club. Might end up with the Nigel Farage Lounge.

    Forget about the politics

Remember Farage is a Palace fan.

Probably similar to Dave Cameron being a Villa fan. Certain most of them hate the sport but have to seen to enjoy it to appeal to the audience.

If you didn't know he was a Nigel and you had to guess which club he supported it would definitely be Palace.

Farage and his family are Palace fans.

Found that out when he interviewed Ian Holloway

We’re inching ever closer to that takeover. Curbs the front man for the Farage/Davidson consortium?

Took the club as far as he could and was hounded out by the fans.

That's the usual story, isn't it?
