2-0 Exeter and the post match views turn into - if only we’d have kept Stockley as an option off the bench

I think the team will be better off now those that went have gone.  I’m not sure we have the quality to pick up wins consistently at places like this, so going to sit on the fence.  1-1

Expecting Big response to Bolton defeat and transfer window dealings.

Don’t know if it will be a good or bad big response though.
  • 3-0 win to the Addicks, and the players are serenaded by chants of "There's only one Andy Scott"

Exeter are missing their top scorer but not sure that will be enough 1-1
  • Lovely club Exeter.  Passionate fans, great ground.

Where do people plan to drink before the game?

This was the info from Charlton's email:

    • St Anne’s Well and The Duke of York Inn are both within walking distance of the stadium and there is also a social club at the ground itself with other facilities at the club which supply drinks.
  • Score draw 1-1.

Would go with the team @ForeverAddickted has selected but I cant see Hector being on the bench. I hope Kilkenny plays as he's the only bright spark from our transfer dealings.

I would say we have a chance now that Brown is missing from their team but I'm sure whoever they play will give our defence the run around.

    2-1.

Think Bonne and Morgan will start.  1-2 and we are winning again.
  • Does anyone know if tickets are available on the day?

    • Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase from the Exeter City Ticket Office on the day of the game.
Although, both home and away sections are close to filling up so get in early.

Narrow defeat as the new manager bounce turns into a splatter.
  • 0-1 Rak-Sakyi
  • Looking fwd to seeing how our new slimline squad gets on in this match. Wonderful transfer window has us all desperate to see if our heroes can finish top half. How many injuries will we pick up? Wait till those midweek games return and they will drop like flies. Our away record this season is shocking, pathetic and abysmal. A sell out St James Park should see that continue. 2-1 Exeter but lots of positives to mull over.

Got a feeling we might see Aneke on the bench. He’s now had 3 solid weeks of training so would like to see him included.

Actually optimistic about this one and even better news that Brown is not going to play for Exeter.

Our second double of the season.

    Exeter 0-2 Charlton
    Bonne
    Rak-Sakyi

I hope so.  My last long distance away (apart from Manchester) was Port Vale and I don’t want a repeat of that day 🙄

Sounds absolutely mental but for some reason I think Kilkenny will be the difference for us and it will all click. Almost certainly won’t happen but imagine we make the playoffs, heard it here first!

When Holden was interviewed about the possible introduction of the newcomers he said he didn't want to say too much, he is on good terms with the Exeter manager Gary Caldwell but didn't want to let him know anything.
Then tellingly Holden name-checks Brown as Exeter's most dangerous player. Now we get news that Brown misses the game for internal club disciplinary reasons.
    Hmmn.
I wonder if Brown will actually play or not.
  • Tough game, not an easy place to go and get a win.

    I would take a point 1-1

Brown obviously upset at not getting his dream move to us.

The My New Football Club podcast is worth a listen. It's the actor/standup comedian who played Brian in Afterlife.

    It's possible we'll win this one. 1-2.

Kilkenny has played a total of 94 league minutes this year, the last of those coming in his sole start on August 20th. Cannot see him starting. Hopefully he's fit enough to make the bench. Same with Hector, who has 94 fewer league minutes than Killkenny.

I think two changes from last week, with Sess in for Clare and Miles in for Bonne.

I also wouldn't be shocked if we matched them with 3-5-2, especially if Chuks is deemed fit enough to be on the bench. Clare probably shifts into RCB, Inniss plays in the middle of a three which leaves his lack of mobility less exposed, Sess and Penny wingbacks, Miles and Bonne up front. Same midfield as Bolton.

If we still had O'Connell, Inniss should absolutely be dropped. But we don't. And Thomas has played once in the league in like three months and something like four times all year. Hector, again, with zero league minutes. Can't see either of them displacing Inniss at this point.

Up until a couple of days ago we had a strong and somewhat bloated squad. We now have a squad in transition. Again. Looking to leverage players who haven't been playing. Again. Hoping that they can get fit and stay fit. Again.

I mean given that they put out a statement on Twitter it would seem like a lot of work for misdirection. They've even locked down replies to the Tweet. I can't imagine it's a smoke screen. Especially coming 24 hours before kick off for a league game in February against a side in 15th.
