It's a good strike, as said on comms he had all day to strike it. But we've generally looked stretched defensively when Fleetwood have gotten into our half, and this was no different.
We desperately need to get Bonne into this game. We've dominated a lot of the ball but haven't created much. When the ball goes into the box it's Bonne against three defenders. He needs to find a way to get a little separation.
Been here a hundred times before. 15 minutes where we look on top because the opposition start cautiously but despite them sitting back and us having lots of the ball we lack tempo and don’t come close to opening them up. From then on they realize we can’t hurt them and grow into the game. Yet another “worldy” conceded and it’s probably nighty night already. We know we never win when we concede first.
Just like last time he was here, and his last two matches, Bonne offers nothing as a lone striker. Runs around a lot but never gets on the ball. You just cannot build attacks in this formation against a deep sitting side if your front man can’t hold the ball up and bring others into it.
Looked like the outside of his right boot from where I'm standing at the back of the Top Drawer Cupboard End, plenty of pace with a little bit of fade to keep it curling away from Ash's dive.
Since the sub and formation change, Fleetwood have turned into a different side, getting the goal and have settled into the game, in danger of taking control.
Credit to Fleetwood so far. They came with a game plan and they’re executing it well, plus got that little bit of luck with a long range shot to go with it.
Don't know if I'm being critical, think it should have been saved that.
He gets a hand to it, I don't know about "should" have been saved, I would say could have been saved. It's got power and bend on it which makes it hard for AMB.

One of those outside of the toe, leathered it and got a nice bit of bend so took it just out of finger tip reach.

Our final ball is useless

After the gap that the top three created, Ipswich have really fallen away again
Just imagine if there was a period during the season where you could recruit a replacement or 2. 🤔
