This could be us if we don't get promoted at the 1st attempt.
I don't really have any sympathy for Leeds. They gambled and they lost. Since then they've made poor decision after poor decision (£11m for Fowler then paying half of his £40k a week wages once he left being a prime example). Not to mention their thug supporters and prize c*nt of a manager.
I would fear for Fulham if they got relegated. Would Mofayed hang around to bail them out. Haven't they have consolidated losses of over £100m for the period that they've been in the Premier league?

Yawn!!! Its funny how anything I say that someone doesnt agree with makes me a wind up merchant. Anything original???

that's ridiculous, we're not even close to the Leeds situation!
There are plenty of other clubs (the majority) who are in a much worse position than us.
Forest, QPR, Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday, Wimbledon/MK Dons, Barnsley, Swindon and Oldham all spring to mind. Clubs that have been relegated from the premier and relegated further.
How long were Derby, Norwich and Sheffield United down here for after their 1s telegations from the premier?
How long have Ipswich, Coventry and Leicester been down? Of which 2 of those 3 have seen administration.

Wouldn't signing Kluivert be a similar sort of daft gamble in our situation?
STATEMENT
Leeds United 0 Taxman 1 (og Football League)
Leeds United are amazed by the perverse outcome of Thursday's meeting of Football League Clubs, which defied all logic, and we believe had arisen as a result of a serious misrepresentation of fact by the board of the Football League in their presentation.
The only winner is HMRC and we believe the full ramifications of Thursday's decision will adversely affect football going forward for many years.
"Football Family" seems to be driven by self interest.
The Club is considering its options but in the meantime will be concentrating on starting its promotion campaign at Tranmere on Saturday.
The league eventually sanctioned this under the "exceptional circumstances rule" but imposed a 15 point deduction due to not following football league rules on clubs entering administration[26] The Football League upheld the points deduction on 9th August 2007 with the added punishment that the 1973 Cup Final be replayed to the crowd before every home game.

I heard a 'Ridsdale Story' about Seth Johnson and his agent when he signed for 7m from Derby.
Johnson's agent told him to be quiet and he'd do the negotiating starting at 27k a week and hoping to settle on 20k a week.
When they entered the Chairmans room, Ridsdale said that he wouldn't be blackmailed by agents over players wages and he'd offer Johnson 'no more than' 45k a week!

There is a story that when Johnson arrived at Leeds to discuss his contract, his agent wanted to hold out for £13,000 a week. Peter Ridsdale entered the room and said "Right, I'm sorry but I can only offer you thirty thousand a week". Johnson's agent uttered some exclamation of disbelief and so Ridsdale said "Alright, thirty-eight thousand then".

Is this what the Eggman's doing at West Ham?
