Tragic news and one of the few RIP threads on this forum where I feel a real sense of loss.
Saw Dame Edna in concert many years ago but I think my favourite was probably, Sir Les Patterson. Can’t remember if he made an appearance on the same show.
Remember seeing a clip of Sir Les Patterson come out on stage and just stand there sniffing his finger for the fIrst few minutes of the set. One of the funniest, simplest things I've ever seen. You definitely had to be there, but it was very funny.
Had the pleasure of seeing Dame Edna and Sir Les live too many years ago now. Came out of the theatre in physical pain from laughing so much. One of a kind.
RiP to a true comedy genius. Loved Dame Edna but Sir Les was always my favourite. His interview with the late Australian journalist Mike Willesee always has me laughing out loud.
I have no idea when I saw his show in London but it was sheer genius. Sir Les Paterson had hardly been seen on TV and one of the funniest shows I have been too. Dame Edna was a great creation.

He once ate a tin of sweetcorn out of an aeroplane sick bag and freaked everybody out.
RIP.
We'll miss him.
