I know this can be said for many clubs, but the stark reality of the lack of stability in a managers position makes eye watering reading at this club. If we look at the last 40 years, the first 24 years saw us with only 3 managers (this is including Steve Gritt's joint spell with Curbs).
Now look at the next 16 years and we are currently on our 17th manager in that timeframe (and this doesn't include half a dozen caretaker appointments), which is 2 more than the total of Charlton managers from 1920 to Lennie's appointment in 1982.
Funny how our most successful managers have been the ones that are given time to build a squad.
