I know it doesn’t really matter in the context of the game, but how on earth did that second half finish with no added time whatsoever? There were 4 goals. There was a delay before the penalty. There were 9 substitutions during the second half including a pause in play of about 2 or 3 minutes while seven substitutions were being made at once! Definitely a few pauses for Macedonia players going down for treatment too. It may not be that important, but football is mega finickity about some of its rules, but this seems a bit “oh, let ‘em off, they’ve suffered enough”. I wanted 8 or 9 nil!

I didn’t as had 7-0 😂😂 but know completely where you are coming from
It will be interesting to see who Southgate chooses for his midfield 3. Rice seems a dead cert, so does Bellingham when he's back fit. Will he go for TAA for his attacking qualities, Henderson for his steadying influence, Foden as an all rounder? It's a great problem to have.

Think you've kinda answered your own question there - depending on the opponent and situation all of the above
Was that Baz ball ? England declared on exactly 90 minutes ! TAA does an outrageous 50 yard blind pass to Saka which he told him he would do at HT. Maguire did a pass from the left wing. Shaw spends more time in forward positions. Pickford played as sweeper so he could see some action. Kane can be a number 9 and a 8 now both Saka and Rashford have found their A game. Against a team with a low block and who had beaten Italy we made them look like Charlton Athletic at Ipswich.
We may only have been playing the North of Macedonia 🤦♂️But the confidence and swagger on the ball and the flexibility of the formation is lovely on the eye. Great to see a happy squad and the look between Kane and Wilson was brilliant as the Newcastle number 9 couldn't get on the field in time to take the penalty !
I know you can only play what's in front of you but England looked imperious last night and the movement and transition involving players out of position was a joy to watch.
Great atmosphere at OT but I have to repeat what an absolute shit tip the stadium is. It was my first (not surprisingly) experience of the Stretford End and an anorexic gnat would have had trouble with the pathetic seats - too narrow and zero leg room. OK I stood up the whole game but it was even tight standing up and the width of the seats is a joke. It is a 60,000 seater stadium holding 75,000 and it needs knocking down.

Shame the ref at Ipswich didn't have the same kindly attitude to the suffering of others...
I agree though, I am not sure that UEFA will be too happy, even if it's just behind closed doors.

I’ve booked to do the away fixture in November which now looks like an absolute dead rubber.
Not bad.
Pacey goal scorers - Saka, Rashford
Creative touch players - Foden, Grealish
Plus back up players like Sterling, Sancho, Maddison, Eze...
If he was England manager would would end up with a midfield 3 of TAA, Stones and Kane. Marvellous.
