Might be just me but I'm concerned about the left side of the defence.

Thatcher looked wobbly to me and I'm not convinced by him. Sir Chris looks ok but at 67 is unlikely to play 46 games.

Cory Who? might be ok but will he ever be fit enough?

What do others think?

I raised the same concerns in the post-Braga thread. I seriously would start with Powell on Saturday. Thatcher lookde completely out of sorts, which may of been due to him missing training, i don't know. But Powelly is solid and you know what you're going to get from him. First game for a new team this week and there may be a few nerves, Powelly would be a good influence to have on the pitch.

It would then give Thatcher another week to improve his fitness, and act as a reminder to him he is not automatic first place.

thatcher scored a great goal on saturday - leave him alone.

i'd start with the Thatch and if we are winning easily bring on powell to do "The Tunnel"

He was in civies on Saturday, so wasn't even in contention for the squad.

If we see him before October I'll be amazed!

It doesn't look good for Cory Bartlett.

    Don't you mean Cory Sorondo?

Cory and Bartlett both had the 17 shirt.

So they must be the same player.

So, anyone know where Sorondo ended up?
Surely, he's not still in our treatment room? ;-)

Going by the squad numbers allocated, I'd put money on Thatcher starting at left back on Saturday
