Has been for a number of weeks. Kenilworth Rd not ready yet.
Why hint we postponed our matches? Our squad isn't ready ...

Very soft pen IMO I'd be livid if that was given against us, but we'll take it
    They often are!

  • May is everywhere today

  • Vale are there for the taking. They're absolutely awful

The ground is ready but the squad is not  :)
  • Patchy first 20 minutes with us just on top...nice to see Alfie get off the mark...

That was always going to be the case.

    Best get a 2nd & 3rd then.

Don’t want to jinx it but patchy is not what I’ve been watching. Charlton clearly on top and playing the better football.

Thank you for all comments, I know, but just in case some do not

    A Valley Vale volley?

  • And yes Port Vale look very poor. Only 20 minutes but so far they’re the worst we’ve faced, including Newport in the cup.

What do the TV gantries matter? VAR decisions are going to go against Luton and for the big clubs all the time regardless of the visual evidence so why bother?

Attempt missed. Conor Grant (Port Vale) left footed shot from the left side of the box is too high.

Please please please, are they keeping the conservatory showroom along the pitch?

Foul on Anderson. Taylor to take. Correction dummy and Edun to pass it out of play 😅 blackett-taylor had no idea that was the routine apparently

Building up nicely for a Vale equaliser
  • Waste of a good Fk position
  • Good build up down the left between Edun and Anderson, who gets taken out and wins a free kick just outside the 18 yard area...comes to nothing

Yeah, yeah, I know. I didn't really believe it was frozen pitch. :)

Terry Taylor (Charlton Athletic) wins a free kick in the defensive half.

  • Set piece… nice idea, CBT on his heels and the pass goes out for a goal kick
  • Derby 1-0
