Scrapped my car advice needed

Scrapped my car this morning by taking the car to scrap yard .
Gave the woman the log book and she gave me a certificate of destruction.
I didn't take section 4 out the log book and didn't receive it back from woman.
So I have a COD but no 11 digit reference number.
Have come home and gone online to tell dvla car been scrapped but of course have no reference number.
Road tax is due tomorrow.
Should I pay the Road tax and sort this out Monday.
Scrap firm is now closed
Cheers

They won't chase you for road tax for a week or two, so sort it out on Monday. DVLA are civil servants, they don't work weekends.

If you do not have a log book you must write to DVLA with:

    • your name and address
    • the vehicle registration number
    • the make and model
    • the exact date of sale
    • the name and address of the scrapyard or insurance company

    DVLA
    Swansea
    SA99 1BD

Id do this to make sure
