MA: Two changes help us with balance of the team when the ball gets turned over. Taylor and Dobbo together will help in those moments.

James done well stepping in for two games but he is a centre half. Tennai offers something different.

Raining quite hard in Shrewsbury at the moment, or it was when Apples was being interviewed
  • Apples certainly does interview well pre match, and nice to see that he has plan B as well as A, and spotting a few slight flaws from last week, changing things up a bit...
And agree, looking forward to seeing Fraser getting some minutes on the pitch...
  • Bit surprised the Campbell (C) isn’t on the bench - gives a bit mor versatility as a sub. Not sure who you’d leave out to make space for him either, though. Good to see such a strong bench.
  • The Charlton TV graphics are now very grey, matching Brown and Lisbie's shirts.

What’s up with Chem? Not even in the squad. Is Mickey Apple’s giving him the trademark side eye?
  • Louis Watson takes well, but is a swayer like Holden.

Who does Chem get on the bench ahead of?

The great thing is we can probably make 3 or 4 changes for Tuesday and not make us worse.  On paper.

Curious to see how Dobson and Taylor play together. I wasn't impressed last time they were paired but if they manage to gel we've got the makings of a very good counter attacking side, especially away from home.

I am hoping to see the set piece thingy of Taylor. It's supposedly one of his strengths, and there has already been titchy glimpses of promise.
  • Pleased to have avoided a kit clash by wearing black.

Do any of our kits really clash with blue?

Surely of the 3 kits we have, black is the least sensible today.
  • See we have the black kit again, would be nice to take the opportunity of playing in the red if we can..🤷‍♂️
  • Nice early catch for Isted, from a Flanagan cross

Leaburn does well to beat his man, then leaves the ball behind.

  • Not raining at the moment, and pitch looks in good nick, so should be a good game

Shame for Leaburn... Collected a pass from Watson on the touchline, turned his man and advanced into the Shrews half, but got the ball stuck under his feet, and what looked like a potentially good opening came to nothing

Massively narrowed pitch than they usually have.

4-2-3-1 today. Leaburn, Campbell and CBT behind May, Taylor and Dobbo behind them.

Both of those last two throw in's looked foul throws...
  • Very scrappy opening.

Ball spending a lot of time either with a Shrews throw in, or being headed away

Early stages have mainly been played in Charlton's half. Addicks have dealt comfortably with a couple of deep crosses
