I know it has been suggested already, but could we not try to raise the money on here for one item at least but maybe more depending on the response and donate to the museum and have an agreement that Robbo can buy them back at the same price at any time in the future.

I would love to have a bid on it. The hardest working player I can remember in a Charlton shirt. Would £300 touch the sides?
no
So what would? Mr font of all knowledge?
Ok, if you're going to be like that forget I said anything
That really isn’t a helpful response.
State a ballpark.
I suspect most of us don’t have a clue what sums are being discussed.
No thanks
Why forever not? Wasn’t the original post about generating interest in the shirts?
How's he supposed to know? Depends on how much John Robinson might sell for, and how much a buyer is willing to pay.
ROTW asked if £300 would get close, Henry and Talal have said no.
Bizarre the things people bicker about. If you're potentially interested and maybe want to know a price, go on the Facebook message or get hold of Dubai like he's offered on the first page?
Well he knows that £300 wouldn’t do it so he obviously knows the ballpark. If he doesnt want to say, he could have done it a little more politely.
It's like anything really, not what it's worth but what people are prepared to pay for it. A good idea would be if the team from Wembley clubbed together then Robbo gave it to the museum. All would be happy. Either way, John Robinson, you're the man.
This is a great idea. Steve Jones could look after the shirt while Richard Rufus rings round to collect the money.
