Spot on line up in my opinion. Players with something to prove and all are head and shoulders above what's at Cray Valley's disposal. That's not to disrespect the opposition but they are part time non-leaguers so shouldn't be an issue as long as we turn in a professional performance.Ā
Wouldn't have had Leaburn or May anywhere near this squad. Hopefully they will not be needed.5 -

There is an infinitely small chance that that squad isnāt good enough to win this comfortably. We should be playing our better players unless nursing injuries get them working out how to be their best in every league game (because we arenāt yet) and get the confidence from a big win.ĀJust progressing is not the only opportunity.Ā5 -

So we play Alfie May in a game v CVPM
He gets injured and is out for 3 months
Appleton then has the fanbase saying why is he playing our best players for a game against a team like CVPM when we could have beat them with our squad playersĀ10 -

Should add that the timing is completely fucked up.

Many decided on the ability to teleport - Conor said he'd have super strength as he has none of it on the pitch, or something to that extent...6 -

I mean I get we have to show respect to the oppositionĀ
But come on there is no one who can honestly say the team we have put out is not good enough to be beating a team like CVPMĀ
We haven't out out an under 18s team, we have put out a team of senior pros who have played league 1 football this seasonĀ

Let those players from the Wigan victory ride the confidence boost that came from that.5 -

Believe it or not. This is the team (apart from Abankwah) that I thought, I was going to put it on the preview thread but could not be bothered with all the moans about my selection. If it is good enough for MA and me, it must be OK š„“3
-
That team had better deliver. Cray will be a solid unit whatever their limitations as players, we might look like a team of strangers.3

Almost like some people aren't happy unless they have something to moan about š¤£š¤£4

We've seen how badly Charlton can play, when individuals know that their place in the team is safe4 -

We're on a hiding to nothing... We either slaughter Cray Valley as expected... Great, we know Kirk etc. can perform against that standard.
If we barely beat them, then the reputation of Kirk etc. will sink even lower.1 -
And itās also a contributing reason why hardly anyone will be there too because itās not a certainty you are paying to watch theā1st teamā.Ā0

Would have rather started with 10 than have Kirk in the team. Should be binned off to the U18's to train until we can get rid.
Looking forward to see Anderson, Edun, Chem and McGrandles, none of whom I remember seeing for us before.0 -
Charlton Fans: We are cursed, our sports science team is rubbish, we have such a poor injury record.
Also Charlton Fans: Why we not playing our strongest XI against a team on the 7th/8th level of the football pyramid.
Also itās not just that. Thereās a squad of 22 players, and however you might disagree, itās about trying to keep that squad not only fit (whether by giving minutes or resting) but also reasonably happy and motivated - because that helps drive up standards across the whole team.ĀImagine playing for a team where you basically know youāve got very very limited chances of ever getting a game. And imagine how that might rub off across the whole squad and team spirit.Ā4 -
Anyway... this is the team we're having to watch
Do we only support the better players or the team as a whole?4 -
I really hope Tedic takes his chance of playing as a No 9, his actual best position, and gives the manager food for thought. Ditto I want Chem Campbell to show Appleton that he should be featuring more.2
