Rumour from the U21s game yesterday.

Early arrivals saw the end of first team training but couldn't see Dobson.

Could have been injured or at the dentist.  Doesn't mean he's been sold.

To lose Corey Blackett-Taylor in this window, Mr Irving, may be regarded as a misfortune, to lose George Dobson as well would look like Carelessness.
If we were to sell GD on top of selling CBT would the incoming money and savings on wages of 6 outgoings (7 with Dobson) actually mean no hands dipped into pockets by owners this window (over and above the substantial running deficit if course).  Maybe the sum to pay off Kirk would be the difference!

    In.                  Out
    Ward.            Walker
    Fiorini.          Kirk
    Ladapo.        Tedic
    Gillesphey.   Abankwah
    Bakinson.     CBT
    REG.              C Campbell
    Coventry

Impact  of the bench you say, is that similar to using a chair in WWE 🤔

I would laugh if that was not so close to the truth

    The local Methodist league
  • Owen Dale signing for Oxford according to Peter O'Rourke
  • I hereby dub this Charlton transfer window as, "The Premature Ejaculation 2024 window".  Losing Mickey Apples has definately put us off of our stroke!
  • @Braziliance favourite Owen Moxon appears to be off to Pompey

Was anybody filling in for him?

I’d bite your hand off for 3 signings before tomorow as id be surprised as we’re not really being linked with anyone . Fingers crossed though . Although I’d rather a wing back for either side and a number 10 than the positions you mention. Take anything to make us stronger though .

Losing 3 midfielders this window would be too many with our cursed record on injuries.  I assume young Anderson would just be a loan ?
No problem if all our midfielders are fit but our new signing Terry Taylor did get 90 minutes in the U21'S but won't be match fit and Camará isn't fit yet.

Dobson situation needs clarity and the usual uncertainty as we come to the window closing and the new boss is still to be named.

Our entire squad is set up for 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 now, why would we sign a winger and not a number 10?!
To give what ever manager comes in a bit of flexibility..

Aaron Collins is *technically* a winger of sorts.

if we sign a winger it’s either for the bench if we’re playing 352 or we have to play Campbell or May on one side and I don’t fancy that . Doesn’t really make sense that.

    Great signing. I rate him.
  • I'd still like to see Azeez sign for us from
    Reading.

Whats the point of one winger when we are playing 352. It is a 10 we need.

The little word ‘talks’ is beautifully ambiguous.
I had talks with the neighbours cat this morning.

Is it Ronnie Moore's cat, Seth?

Eh ? You mean he's going to run into the bench

Edit. Damn, late to the party, beaten to the punch again :-(

Bring on the boy with the broken leg!!!
  • Isn't it clear by now with CBT deciding to play a Derby every week that we need a forward with the skill and ability to play wide and central and not just be a winger.
Do we have the Wing backs with the ability to get up and down and cross the ball to a decent standard ?
3-5-2 can look great when it works but a team lacking confidence and to find their shape in transition it can be a dangerous numbers game.

A skilled coach is mandatory with very good communication skills.

Weird one this season Owen Moxon. Isn't hitting the numbers he did in league 2, which is understandable, but he appears to have fallen out of favour with Carlisle fans.

I think a part of that is because he has wanted to move/their fans know he is going so he's form has dipped a bit and he's lost a bit of good will.

Pompey is a big move for him and I think on paper, it's a really decent signing.
