Also adds up being 6'2", only played 4 times for Plymouth this season, 28 years old. He's more of a left footed centre back than a left back (essentially Thomas but white)
    Thomas is right footed
I meant the centre back can play left back part!
Does a job there but never completely comfortable, especially going forward. All it means is Edun doesn’t have proper competition, it weakens us in possession too much. Can’t whip in a cross and slows down play switching to his right foot, even though he uses both feet more than most.

Someone’s never watched Thomas properly 😂 watch him here, often playing as a right sided CB for Wimbledon and uses his right foot a lot for someone who is apparently left footed. https://youtu.be/5I-6DmKUmnE?si=Q20MIzbbF-AQr6sU
Where did I say he's definitely left footed?

Cawley reporting it is a permanent deal. Six figure fee.
  • Dont recognise the name, but welcome to the madhouse

Fair point, but it’s not hard to misinterpret what someone means by a LOL when you only state a fact.
  • Surely can’t be dropping down a league to sit on the bench. Who is he replacing in starting 11?
  • 40+ games in their last 2 L1 seasons so he’s durable

We desperately need a new first choice CB so that's great news. Played 35 games in a L1 championship winning campaign last season.

Barely played this season for them so assume he’s well down their pecking order. Here he’s immediate competition as a minimum for our Jones, Hector and Edun.

    Or we are going 3-5-2.

Maybe but I’d have thought we’d have seen it by now if Appleton wanted to play that way. Seems very fixed on 4-2-3-1. If CBT goes that could change that I guess.

Unlikely that Appleton would change formation. Guy has played one for his whole career.

Indeed, though I suppose we have not really had the striking options to do it. If we keep CBT then I think we will stay with 1 up top, but if he goes and we buy in a JCH type striker then I can see us moving to 2 up top.

He hasn’t played for us yet. Give it 25 mins of his debut.

    Signing for us soon, then?

Minor injury this time of year is so often code for "on the move"

Maybe that is Appleton's preferred formation but couldn't play it with the squad he's inherited, Doucher will be pleased if that's the case.

It’s not. Appleton has stuck rigidly to 4-3-3 for his entire coaching career.
