Great pre 1st game of the season episode and a good laugh watching it.

Monthly or weekly, it's always good

    Common catchphrases

    Minto: Moving swiftly on

Curbs: And when the away fans bring a good crowd, it at least usually livens the place up a bit and the players react

Lisbie: Yeh but I scored a hatrick v Liverpool

Brownie: I think that was when curbs put me on the bench for the 12th time in a row

(Lisbie and brownie don't actually say those things often but that's all I could think of)

Expect a lot more games to be picked up internationally now we’re in the Championship. Might have fewer opportunities to listen to Terry, Greg and Brownie.

I am annoyingly missing the game on Saturday but want to try and avoid scores and watch full game later. Anyone got any ideas where I might find the full match replay? I've got access to sky if that helps
Anyone remember that episode of the likely lads?
Gonna show my age here... what is that?
That's me off to the "Things that make you feel old" thread...

All the more reason for everyone abroad to invest in a decent VPN.

What country do people need to visit to watch CATV? I assume our matches are picked up for international broadcast more in the Championship thus the list of places to watch CATV from is smaller.

My BIL is actually in Melbourne, WhatsApp me yesterday during the game said he paid for the international Charlton TV for the game, the feed was 💩 and kept dropping out, so he used his vpn and watched on CBS in the states and it was fine.

To the above countries already mentioned I would add that -apparently - you should choose a VPN country as close as possible to your physical location. I only read that last year. Explains why whenever I watch TV drama on SBS (Oz) the picture quality is often less than optimal

Maybe his initial internet was problem? I watched CharltonTV in Thailand and it was actually the best feed quality for a game I've ever had.

Actually I read it slightly differently. Charlton TV is in this mess because of the EFL international deal. The clubs authorised this deal. We don't know whether Charlton voted against it at the time, but since so much had been invested in CharltonTV it seems to me unlikely that they would have voted for it willingly. It also seems to me that Gavin Carter, himself an exiled Addick, would readily see the advantages of CharltonTV, and the negative effects of the deal. Somebody with some knowledge of the deal suggested to me that there were a few clubs like Charlton, who had invested in their own streaming service, but the other clubs were jealous of them, and therefore were happy to vote for something which would potentially kill them off. So it could be that this sponsorship is a small sign of deniable resistance to the shoddy deal.

I had heard that the income the Club received thru Charlton TV was the top in all football...I pay my 220 quid but would love to have the pre, half time and post game analysis back with Curbs, Minto and Brownie as I really enjoyed that. Shame with the extra income in the Champ the club didn't bring it back.

Is it audio only for international viewers too tonight, do we know?

(I ask because I wasn't sure if the message re CharltonTV was because midweek games can be broadcast in the UK)
