It also works for Charlton as well. Just this season Charlton have scored in the 80 minute and beyond against Cheltenham 86th Portsmouth 93rd Reading 94th Blackpool 81st & 83rd Exeter. 86th Wycombe. 82nd & 94th Stevenage 92nd
Resulting in 7 Extra points for Charlton. Have not checked the other seasons only this season
We have had small squads for years with injury prone players and over promoted kids, meaning many times our 1st team is over used and suffering fatigue. Little wonder if we concede more late goals than we score. Nothing to do with concentration levels imo.
(Pompey 76-90 tally is 8 scored, 5 conceded - stupid website arrow in the way)
Although interesting its a bit immaterial as the OP's point was how many points has it cost us (and other teams). You could be 5-0 up & let in 3 goals in added on time but still win.
Its how many points won or lost by scoring/letting in late goals.

It gives a pretty good rough idea if you want to compare us against other teams though…
If you want Charlton specifics, goals 76+ and the change in points as a result below…
Bristol R (H): after 76 mins 0-1 / -1 point Port Vale (H): after 76 mins 0-1 / -1 point Oxford (A): after 76 mins 1-0 / -1 point Stevenage (A): after 76 mins 0-1 / +1 point Wycombe (H): after 76 mins 2-0 / +2 points Exeter (H): after 76 mins 2-0 / 0 points Blackpool (H): after 76 mins 2-0 / +1 point Reading (H): after 76 mins 1-0 / 0 points Lincoln (A): after 76 mins 1-0 / 0 points Wigan (A): after 76 mins 2-0 / 0 points Portsmouth (A): after 76 mins 0-1 / +1 point Cheltenham (H): after 76 mins 1-0 / +2 points Cambridge (H): after 76 mins 0-2 / -2 points Burton (H): after 76 mins 0-1 / -2 points Orient (A): after 76 mins 1-0 / -1 point Bristol R (A): after 76 mins 1-1 / 0 points Oxford (H): after 76 mins 0-1 / -1 point
2 points worse off overall - we were in the positive by 4 points until this horrible December run turned this stat against us.

Great stat to see. I would have thought we were a lot worse off than 2 points lost overall.

It only feels so bad now because we've dropped six points from 76mins onwards since December 9th - which must be some sort of record.
-3 after 5 games under Holden
+7 through Appleton's first 12 games
-6 through Appleton's last 6 games
Guess which key players we didn't have available during those first five games, or the most recent six. Perhaps highlights the drop off in quality once we lost them... it's a lot different having Leaburn & Aneke versus having Kanu & Casey - as good as the latter might become in a few years time.
ongoing thing indeed and smacks of unprofessionalism .. but of course during the stated timespan (and I suggest a history going on well before 2019) there has been a collection of different managers and players .. hard to define and without sounding too metaphysical, does it indicate an ingrained sense of uncertainty and fragility within the CAFC 'DNA' ?
It is nonsensical. The chances of this must be minuscule. There is no logical reason to keep conceding right at the end. The 95th minute of football is no different to the 55th. Same players, same game.
I can’t see what’s going on here. Are they throwing the game? Are they giving up? Don’t they care? Is it a protest against Appleton?
Its not possible to be this insanely, ludicrously useless time after time at the end of a game.
I've just had a look at late goals conceded by us. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but we've dropped 11 points with goals conceded in 80 or more minutes. That would put us 8th on 41 points.

either way, no great surprise. We used up a lifetime of last minute luck at Wembley in 2019….
19/20 season you save one of them points and we would have stayed up.
It works both ways.....unfortunately not much recently but as @HandG says, perhaps we used a few up at Wembley.
Just this season Charlton have scored in the 80 minute and beyond against
