Comfortable 4-0 away win1

2 games in League One not so fortunate, and they involve 4 teams below us. Cheltenham v Carlisle and Port Vale v Wycombe.ForeverAddickted said:
However, we need not worry about teams below us anymore & should only be looking up. Play offs are out the question but a top 10 finish should be eminently possible. All we need are a number of wins & this starts tomorrow. No idea of either the the 2 signings today signed in time to play tomorrow & even if they did I think a place on the bench is the best they will achieve. Last week I was fearing this game...but not anymore.
1-3 and the Reds are on the march again

Last seen heading up the A1 towards DerbyLincsaddick said:so far this month Burton have lost away by the odd goal to two of the better teams in this division, Derby (to a last minute winner) and Bolton, SO, they MUST be taken seriously, overall their recent form is better than ours ..
I want to see us in a no frills 4 4 2 with Bakinson Fiorini Dobson and Coventry in midfield, Watson Jones Gillesphey and Edun at the back, (we've signed all these new arrivals for a reason, so Appleton f f s play them) with Kanu with May up front ..
this is a team built for solidity i m o, no frills, no mucking about, to get stuck in and grind out a few much needed wins .. a point at least please from another game which will be far from easy.
I have not been keeping up, where is Blackett-Taylor ??1 -
Not sure I care about the result so much as no injuries please and get some momentum and playing style between now and the end of the season.1

Another one I won't make
To all that's travelling up there have have a safe trip & enjoy our win

Catching an early train, so will be in Burton before 11 and before the four pubs on the itinerary open, with the possible exception of The Last Heretic (although that only reopened last night after a two week closure). It looks like we’ll be heading to Spoons for the bottomless coffee and a sandwich for brunch.I’d have liked to visit the erstwhile Museum of Beer but Coors closed it a week before our game there last season to move their admin staff into the building in another act of wanton American cultural vandalism.
As to the game, I doubt that the two new players will start, although I’m sure we’ll see Ladapo off the bench. Hopefully we’ll be able to gain some measure of control in midfield, with Dobbo, Coventry and Bakinson. That - together with an absence of any heinous defensive cock ups and late goals - would make a very pleasant change.1 -
Think we would not have minded if this game was called off .. been a hectic few days the game seems to be playing second fiddle .. lot of new players to fit in .. might come across little bit disjointed a new system ?? hopefully we can come away with something even a point would be ok today1

What will our level of outrage be, if come 5pm and with all these signings, we return to the Valley pointless?0

I was just thinking that.sillav nitram said:What will our level of outrage be, if come 5pm and with all these signings, we return to the Valley pointless? But it’s all a bit up in the air, turmoily at the moment, so it might all go wrong. But last week’s second half v. Peterborough gave me hope, and the new signings might make an appearance?
Not sure how the defence will line up and that may be crucial. Burton aren’t very good though, and I’m expecting a win.1 -

I honestly don’t know what to expect, very confusing in so many ways.Quite apart from the team performance, I for one will be struggling to identify who’s who!! 🤔
COME ON YOU RED BOYS!0 -
Victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all crap defences, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no outside chance of a near miss for the play offs.2

Definitely. I know there are mistakes in him but that applies to others too. He just gives me the impression he is going to be a Premier League player and isn't afraid to play. I think he is going to be a big player for us next season and now is the time to settle him into the side. It isn't as if we are taking any risks with our full back options now not being great.Oh Eddie Youds... said:Would like to see Asiimwee brought back into the side.
